Part #2: Snowy Mountains / Verschneite Berge

Yesterday I photographed the northern side of the valley in my home town of Oberdrauburg (Snowy Mountains / Verschneite Berge), and this morning I drove to the northern side and took photos south or rather west.

Gestern habe ich die nördliche Talseite in meinem Heimatort Oberdrauburg fotografiert (Snowy Mountains / Verschneite Berge), und heute morgen bin ich auf die nördliche Seite gefahren und habe nach Süden beziehungsweise eher nach Westen fotografiert.

My location yesterday was somewhere on the left side of the mountain in a forest clearing.

Mein gestriger Standort war irgendwo links am Berg auf einer Waldlichtung.

The Hochstadel is our local mountain and I have made a few posts about it this year. It is 2,681 m / 8,796 feet high and is currently beautifully covered with snow.

Der Hochstadel ist unser Hausberg und ich habe dieses Jahr schon ein paar Beiträge über den Berg gebracht. Er ist 2.681 m / 8,796 feet hoch und derzeit wunderschön mit Schnee bedeckt.

In the lower left area of the photo you can clearly see how much the forest was thinned out by the severe storm damage in autumn 2018.

Wenn man weiß, wo man suchen muss, dann findet man auch unsere kleine Hütte versteckt hinter ein paar Bäumen.
Im linken unteren Bereich des Fotos kann man deutlich sehen, wie sehr der Wald im Herbst 2018 durch die schweren Sturmschäden ausgedünnt worden ist.

Blue and cloudless sky means postcard weather. I was hoping for a few clouds in the sky, but after so many days with cloudy rainy weather, the sun is doing really well.

Blauer und wolkenloser Himmel bedeutet Postkartenwetter. Ich hatte auf ein paar Wolken am Himmel gehofft, aber nach so vielen Tagen mit trübem Regenwetter tut die Sonne richtig gut.

Before I took these photos, I also wanted to take pictures of the sunrise, but it was cloudless and very uninteresting, except for two strange clouds. I have to edit the photos of these two clouds first, before I can show them.

Bevor ich diese Fotos gemacht habe, wollte ich auch den Sonnenaufgang fotografieren, aber auch dieser war bis auf zwei seltsame Wolken wolkenlos und sehr uninteressant. Die Fotos der beiden Wolken muss ich aber erst bearbeiten.

Yes, we had postcard weather - I prefer some clouds for photography though, but it is nevertheless beautiful and when you are on vacation this is the best weather, of course 😉

Waren wieder Postkartenfotos, aber nachdem das mein absoluter Lieblingsberg ist, den ich von klein auf kenne und auf dem ich viele Sommer verbracht habe, gefällt er mir sowohl so, als auch bei schlechtem Wetter :)

Gestern früh, als ich den Berg fotografiert habe, habe ich zwei Bekannte getroffen, und der eine sagte, wenn es ihm nicht so gut geht, dann schaut er immer auf diesen Berg und es geht ihm wieder besser. Ich kann das voll und ganz verstehen 🙂

Guten Morgen - auch hier scheint die Sonne und ich werde in wenigen Minuten meinen letzten Arbeitstag beenden. Vielleicht kann ich meine faule Familie überreden, ein bisschen mit mir in die Sonne zu gehen ... na, mal sehen, sonste gehe ich halt alleine :)

Nein, nicht frustriert, bin es ja gewohnt, dass meine Kinder nicht mitgehen. Meine Frau geht schon hin und wieder bei schönem Wetter mit, aber wenn wer mitgeht, dann sind das normale Spaziergänge und ich komme nicht wirklich zum Fotografieren, bzw habe ich dann vielleicht nur die Kamera und sonst nichts mit.
Daher bin ich, wenn ich fotografieren gehe, lieber alleine. Dann bin ich auch mehr im Gelände unterwegs als auf Wegen und wenn ich allein bin, dann brauche ich auf niemanden aufzupassen ;)

Natürlich wäre es manchmal schön, nicht allein zu sein und schöne Sonnenaufgänge nicht allein anschauen zu müssen, aber ich will es niemandem zumuten, mitten in der Nacht aufzustehen und durch die Dunkelheit zu marschieren. Und ich will auch niemanden aus meiner Familie gefährden, wenn ich mal blödsinnigerweise einen Klettersteig erwische anstatt dem normalen Weg ;)

Darum sagte ich ja, ein Hund wäre Dein idealer Begleiter, dem ist es egal zu welcher Uhrzeit Du raus willst, wo Du hin gehts geht er mit und letztendlich passt er auch noch auf Dich auf.

Vor allem aber Du hast jemand mit dem Du reden kannst.

Er antwortet Dir auch. Du musst ihn nur kennen und verstehen.

Dazu wollte ich ja was schreiben, habe aber darauf vergessen ;)
Hunde mögen mich, aber ich sie nicht, zumindest nicht, wenn sie nass sind. Den Geruch hasse ich - kenne da aber nur Schäferhunde und weiß nicht, ob die anderen auch so riechen ;)
Wenn sie trocken sind, dann liebe ich Hunde aber.

Wir hatten doch schon vor einer Weile mal darüber gesprochen, glaube ich. Wenn ich in Pension bin, dann kann ich mir sehr gut vorstellen, einen Hund zu haben. Dann kann ich mich auch während des Tages um ihn kümmern. Du hast zwar gesagt, dass sich Hunde an die paar Stunden alleinsein gewöhnen, aber ich glaube nicht, dass ich ihm das antun will. Wir hatten auch einen Nachbarn im Nebenhaus, wo der Hund den ganzen Tag lang gebellt hat, als der Nachbar mal einen Trinken war (hat manchmal den ganzen Tag gedauert ;).

Auch haben wir eine Katze, eine Maine Coon, und die wäre nicht sehr erfreut. Wenn mal ein Nachbarshündchen auf Besuch kommt, dann macht unserem Kater das nicht wirklich was aus, bis der Hund bellt. Dann haut die Katze entweder ab oder wenn sie nicht kann, dann faucht der Kater ziemlich laut, so dass das einzige Hündchen (kleiner Malteser), das manchmal mit seinem Frauchen zu uns kommt, sein Schwänzchen einzieht und abhaut. Täte er das nicht, dann hätte er Sekunden später große Schmerzen, denn unser Kater ist auch ein Stück größer als der Hund ;)

Also, solange wir eine Katze haben, geht es sowieso nicht, aber nach der Katze könnte ich mir durchaus einen Hund zu Hause vorstellen.

Nicht alle nassen Hund stinken.

katze und Hund sind eigentlich kein Problem. Wenn die Katze zuerst da war, erst recht nicht, denn sie zeigt dem Hund wer der Herr im Haus ist.

Das gibt einmal Aua auf der Nase und dann ist der Käse gegessen und die Fronten sind geklärt.

Und nochmals, dem Hund macht es wirklich nichts wenn er ein paar Stunden alleine ist. Und so wie ich Dich einschätze, könntest Du den Hund sogar mit ins Büro nehmen. Die paar Stunden wo er dann neben Dir liegt, werdet ihr Beide genießen. Hernach gehts dann irgendwo in die Walachei zum ausgiebigen spazieren gehen.

Übrigens wird der Hund zu Hause wahrscheinlich niemals lange alleine sein.

Du gehst früh, dann ist die Familie noch da. Wenn Du früh wieder heim kommst war er maximal 4-5 Stunden alleine. Wo ist denn da das Problem? Zu mal auch noch eine Katze da ist. Ich hatte Beides, wobei die Katze als Baby zu mir kam und totale Angst vor meinem Puck hatte. Die ersten Nächte nahm ich sie mit unter die Bettdecke. dann hat sich das normalisiert und Puck hat seit dem einen Streifen auf der Nase.
Wenn ich dann ein Schälchen Milch hin stellte, trank erst die Katze und Puck wartete geduldig bis sie die Schale frei gab um dann den Rest zu schlecken.

Wir Menschen machen uns viel zu viel Gedanken um das zusammenleben unserer Tiere.

Ich sag's ja, ich habe keine Ahnung, weil ich nur einen nassen Schäfer kenne ... und einen Irish Setter, den hatte ich ganz vergessen ;)

Unser Kater ist jetzt seit 10 Jahren allein und würde kein weiteres Tier neben sich dulden, glaub mir - er ist jetzt zwar schon ein älterer und gemütlicher Herr, aber wenn du ihn den Kratzbaum hinaufklettern siehst, dann weißt du, welche Kraft die Katze hat. Der Hund wäre arm dran. Wenn zuerst der Hund dagewesen wäre und der Kater dann als Baby dazugekommen wäre, dann wäre es wahrscheinlich kein Problem gewesen, aber eine alte Katze gewöhnt sich an nichts neues mehr.
Leichter wäre es auch, wenn wir nicht in einer Wohnung, sondern in einem Haus wohnen würden. Dann hätten beide mehr Ausweichmöglichkeiten...

Das mit dem Alleinsein für ein paar Stunden glaube ich dir gerne, aber das möchte ich nicht wirklich - da hat mir die Katze in den ersten Monaten schon leid getan.

Nein nein, wenn Hund, dann wenn keine Katze mehr da ist, oder aber in ein paar Jahren, wenn ich in Pension bin.

Ich versuche Dir ja nur die Vorteile eines Hundes rüber zu bringen.

Will Dich nicht dazu überreden.

Ich mag alle Tiere. Gut ich habe ein großes Grundstück hier, da ist Platz. Solange ich keine Herde Pferde oder Rinder haben will.... aber sonst Ziegen oder Schafe würde auch noch gehen.

Die Vorteile sind mir ja eh bekannt, und es würde auch Spaß machen, aber der Familienrat hat einstimmig bestimmt, entweder Katze oder Hund - beides geht nicht ... der Familienrat ist meine Frau und sie hat einstimmig bestimmt ;) lol
Nein, wir alle vier finden, dass ein Tier in der Wohnung reicht, und ich denke, es ist auch vernünftig so.

Unsere Katze haart extrem Sommer wie Winter - bevor wir außer Haus gehen, müssen alle Sachen erst mal abgebürstet werden ;)
Aber es stimmt, eine Katze macht ansonsten nicht viel Arbeit.

Kurzhaarkatzen sind da besser, die haaren zwar auch, aber sicherlich nicht so extrem, aber wir sind das schon gewohnt ;)
Und der Kater schläft ohnehin wo er will, aber eigentlich nie im Bett - hin und wieder bei einem der Kinder am Fußende.

Ich glaube, ich werde mich etwas später sogar nochmal ins Auto setzen und schauen, ob ich etwas oberhalb der Stadt einen Aussichtspunkt zum Fotografieren finden kann, bei dem ich nicht durch die unbekannte Finsternis laufen muss ;)

Und ich war irgendwie zu weit weg von den Feuerwerken - hätte gedacht, dass das 70-200mm reicht, aber unser See ist doch breiter als gedacht ;)

In meiner Anfangszeit auf Steemit habe ich sogar mal ein Foto von meinem Essen gepostet - war auch Italienisch, sah gut aus und hat sehr gut geschmeckt :)

Das war eine sehr gute Idee mit dem Foto von vor dem Essen - cool wäre auch ein saubergeleckter Teller nach dem Essen gewesen, dann weiß man, wie gut es war ... oder wie groß dein Hunger gewesen ist ;)

na im Lokal lecke ich keine Teller ab, leider war nicht mehr genug Brot da um auch noch den letzten Rest der fantastischen Käsesoße aufzunehmen.

Mein Hunger war schon groß und er ist gestillt worden von dieser Portion :)

Und es war gar nicht mal so teuer.

Meinen Nachtisch bekommt immer wer anders an meinem Tisch, denn meistens bin ich mit der Hauptspeise schon satt genug, und ich bin ohnehin kein Süßigkeitentiger.

Süß-saures Schweinefleisch - mein chinesisches Lieblingsessen, mache ich auch hin und wieder selbst und auch besser als beim Chinesen ;)
Hin und wieder esse ich auch eine Schokolade oder was anderes Süßes, aber meistens nur wenn ich Hunger habe, und dann esse ich aber gleich die ganze Schokoladetafel weg ;)

Wenn ich schon mal eine Schokolade esse, dann ist es mir egal, wieviel Zucker drin ist - eine oder zwei Tafeln im Jahr machen wahrscheinlich nichts aus ;)
Aber stimmt schon, viele sind außer süß nur süß - wie habe ich die bittere Kochschokolade von der Mama geliebt, schon damals als Kind.

Ich liebe Nussschokolade.

Lass die Schoko auf der Zunge zergehen um dann genüsslich die Nuss zu zerkleinern.

Ritter Sport macht eine sehr Gute.

Am besten aber sind immer noch komischer Weise die billigsten aller Billigen.

Dann weiß man so kleine Geschenke wie eine Tafel Schokolade wieder viel mehr zu schätzen :)
Ich weiß noch, welch große Freude die Cousinen meiner Frau immer hatten, wenn wir ein paar Packungen Soletti (ich glaube, es waren Soletti) bei unserem Besuch nach Frankfurt mitebracht haben.

Der hieß aber sicher Johann und nicht Piber, denn die gibt es auf der ganzen Welt und ich bin mit keinem einzigen verwandt ;)
Mozartkugeln sind die mit Schokolade außen und innen Marzipan, oder? Soviel ich mich erinnern kann, waren die gut - ich mag Marzipan recht gerne :)

Ist wirklich egal, denn wenn er Mozartkugeln bringt, dann ist er Salzburger oder vielleicht auch ein Wiener, und da kenne ich nicht wirklich jemanden, der nach Südamerika fliegen würde, denke ich ;)

Good morning my friend - reality is awful and ugly, isn't it? At least the reality when you have got to work, what might not concern you anymore in a few weeks ;)

Because I do know, that I don't like this reality I am going to end my work day in half an hour and won't come back this year 😉 I didn't have a coffee this morning neither. Maybe this is the reason why I don't like it here ... no it isn't ;)

Yes thats true and really i dont mind working a few days this week the office is so quiet hardly anyone is in :)

We have had sunshine almost all day long, but after work I had other things to do and I needed to edit some photos, because at my parents house I have only quickly edited the photos I used for my posts.

Good morning JJ, I hope you have a very good last work day this year 👍

The saying is very old. Back then, the nobles made up their faces and covered their faces with a thick layer of white powder, and as a contrast they made their lips bright red.
Hot coffee is steaming and the steam ran through the make-up of the noble beauties, which looked very ugly then. Therefore, they only drank cold coffee in public. This might be how the saying "cold coffee makes you beautiful" came about.

The nobles in the ancient times had a problem with hot !COFFEEA because it's steam made their faces look !DERANGED ugly, but they found a solution in the !shop of the !MARLIANS : cold !BEER 😉

Sliced bread was a very good invention indeed, but I think the sausage was a better invention because you don't have to think about which end to start eating with because it doesn't matter. Isn't that awesome?

It is !DERANGED to think the !MARLIANS sell warm !BEER because they do have a fridge in the !shop where the also cool the hot !COFFEEA 😉

LOL but maybe the !BEER ice cubes in the !COFFEEA will freeze the brain cells and because of the aclohol they might also fall asleep.
In that case the brainstarter drink would work !DERANGED wrong and we would have to remove the product from the shelves in the !MARLIANS !shop 😉

That would be quite a problem, because his bedroom is smaller than the one of our daughter, and I think the larger bed he would need then would not fit in that room 😉

And it could be costly from the movies the hulk is always ripping his clothes and walking through walls, imagine how often you would have to go to the !MARLIANS !shop for clothes and supplied to repair the house

I have been a bit hiking and climbing and photographing and now I have just imported the photos from yesterday and today into Lightroom.

I am telecommuting today, as I have a new TV being Delivered, the one inthe Lounge that my wife watches a lot started acting !DERANGED and clearly won't last much longer so I went to the !MARLIANS Electronic !shop the other day and ordered a new one, I would have picked it up myself and brought it home and setup, but its doubtful it would fit in my car, plus my wife doesn't want me to be picking it up and moving it around because of my Hernia so I went for the delivery and setup option

I wonder if I should get some !BEER or !COFFEEA in for the delivery guys after they are done

Our kids were trying to convince us we needed a 70 Inch but thats !DERANGED big in my Mind, of the options in the !shop I went to this was the best one for us, now have it all set up Maybe IU could have got a better deal if I had !MARLIANS or had drank more !BEER

Yes, my first color TV was about that size of 12 inch too, but 70 inch is too much in my eyes - I couldn't even fit such a big thing anywhere in our apartment ;)

When such bad luck happened to me sometimes just as it happened for you I have also thought I might win the Lotto because the luck must come back, but I didn't win. Otherwise I wouldn't collect !DERANGED and !shop and !MARLIANS and !BEER and !COFFEEA 😉

I play regularly a very small amount, always the same numbers, and I win sometimes a few Euros, but all in all I lose, of course ;)
Because I play our Lotto online I get a SMS when I win. When I hear that SMS coming in I have some time to dream ... until I look at it ;)

I generally buy a ticket stick it in my wallet and then unless the news say the winner of a huge prize was bought where i bought the ticket, they sit there for a week or two tillI check them LOL

My wife is the same - she only plays when there's a jackpot and then she forgets to look if she has won - unfortunately, she has not won yet.

it is Good,
I sometimes go mountain climbing,
But I don't go far,
I only climb mountains locally,
And the mountain on my side is very small,
So I envy those mountains.

I love to be on the mountains, but I take care that it is not too dangerous - I don't climb steep rock walls or such.
Small mountains are nice mountains, because it does not take so many hours to reach the peak ;)

You're welcome @janton 🙂
All you need is fire wood and you can heat the cabin. The cabin is small enough that you don't need very much wood, but in Winter there will be more snow than there is now and you might have to dig yourself out if you need to go hunting or hiking ;)

There's a separate toilet and a sink with a mirror above, what is meant to be the bathroom ;)

There are even four rooms, because you can sleep under the roof ;)
Of course there is running water, but only in the Summertime, and the rooms are very small, of course, but we have been up to 10 people over the weekend in there sometimes ;)

Yes, 10 people but some even slept on the floor. We always have had good weather, because the cabin is too narrow for 10 people, but for one or two nights it was OK ;)

My little family and two very good friends of us with their kids. So, we have had 4 kids, what has made it easier to find enough space in the small cabin ;)
