Hello everyone!

If the people demand more rabbit photos, the people shall receive more rabbit photos! I definitely don't have thousands of pictures of Felix cramming my gallery... no, obviously not. Why are you asking? 😂

As I'm here sharing cute photos of my bunny, I feel the responsibility to say this: having a bunny hoping around the house is a wonderful experience and bring joy to my days, but owning a rabbit is also a big responsibility. They're not small toys for kids (but unfortunately are usually sold as such): they're living beings that can live up to 7-10 years and have to be taken care of, including balanced diet (including hay, pellets, vegetables and fruits), a safe environment (as they can fit into small, dangerous spaces, and can also chew stuff like energy cables), and also need daily playtime and socialization.

I know this is kinda obvious to write, but rabbits are NOT meant to live in cages. Obviously you can have one in order to lock your bunny inside when you need, like when you're cleaning the house or working with some dangerous tools. But they have to free-roam around in order to be healthy and happy, so you have to give them enough space for him to hop and explore. For example, in my apartment, Felix free-roams in the kitchen + TV room + dinner room + home office area + balcony. You can see him in the photos sleeping under the dinner table or in the sofa!

Obviously, rabbits also need regular trips to the vet, and just a few veterinarian works with rabbits: you have to be sure that you have a nearby, accessible rabbit-savvy vet. Also, they usually charge more than a regular dog/cat vet.

If you're wanting to adopt or buy a rabbit, I'm sure that you'll fall in love with these fluffy cuties, but be sure that you're ready to have the responsibility of taking care of a fragile, small being that will depend on you for several years to come!

Thanks for reading, and see you next time!!

Unfortunately, rabbits aren't good pets for kids :(

Kids usually want to cuddle/squeeze/play with pets, and bunnies aren't really fond of that, especially when they're newly-adopted. Kids try to do those stuff with them, and the rabbit ends up being scared of humans for the rest of their life.

For the first six months or so, Felix was very skittish around us. After getting used to us and to the environment around him, he started getting close to us to cuddle, to ask for food, etc. Now he's very much like a dog but with long pointy ears LOL

Wow, didn't know that, people should learn about those things before adopting a pet!
Thank you!

Oh my God, what a beauty, I want one! But yes I have read that they are very delicate and just that last thing you clarify worries me, an aunt had a bunny with her, one day he got sick and the vet was not sure of the diagnosis, in the end the bunny died and it affected the whole family a lot because they already had 3 years with him 🥺.

Unfortunately, that's a sad reality for bunnies: they're quite different from dogs/cats in terms of biology, so a vet that's not specialized on lagomorphs (rabbits & hares) will end up doing mistakes on the diagnosys or on the treatment :(

But I'm sure that your bunny had a good life with your family and enjoyed his time here on Earth <3

I love your bunny! It's so beautiful >< when I was younger I wanted to have different kinds of animals, including a rabbit, although my mom didn't like the idea.

I hope the little guy is having a fun day🐇💕
