I’m so tired, Dad! 😻
Hmmm…………………🤣
I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July yesterday, Silvertop definitely did!🤗
Today was a “Catch up” kind of day………
I put yard work on hold for the Holiday, and as Cot snoozed away on “HIS” special table in our loft, Silvertop pulled out numerous yard power tools, and started working!😅
Today’s “Plan” was to beat the afternoon heat of the day.
Cot came downstairs, to watch Dad fuel up the weed-eater……….
I mow, and then edge trim, about two acres, the balance of our five acres is forest. The weed-eater is the worst part!🙄
Stinging Nettle grows naturally in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
Until Silvertop can figure a way to “Napalm” this nasty weed Lol, I continue on “damage control” with my weed-eater!🙄
Skin contact with the acid in the leaves of this plant can cause blistering!
Silvertop has been there, done that, with a weed eater!
OUCH!!!😳
Many hot hours later, Cot was still sleeping in front of one of our patio doors…..😻
“ My boy, Dad is more than finished for today! “ 😅
Silvertop is heading indoors, and turning on the A/C!😇
Here’s some “Eye candy” from yesterday’s beautiful day away from Stinging Nettles at the Ocean…😊
“ Cot, now Dad is free to hike this weekend, do you want to come along? “
Cot, rolled on his back, yawned, and went back to sleep….😻

He seems well rested! Nettle sucks, and it's hard to control someplace like yours. Nasty stuff... You got in a nice long hike, great work!

One of my neighbors actually drink nettle tea!😳🤔
It is amazing how quickly it grows as quick as you chop it down. It’s a foot tall next week!🙄

Stinging Nettle... you treat them with weed killer in addition to cutting them down.. two acres...a lot of work. But so worth it! Otherwise, you will be overcome by those nasty acid-carrying leaves!

Living in the forest I can treat our 2 acres, and then they spread from the rest of the forest and come right back🙄
Liz said to tell you they are rhizome's and spread from the roots, similar to bamboo.....
