Liz and Silvertop spent yesterday, Mothers Day, at Boulevard Park enjoying the cool Sea air!🤗
Today was another romantic day spent together……. Shopping at Costco Lol!😇🤣
Traffic…..too many people, and still it was a wonderful day spent with my best friend!😍
So……… instead of photos of Silvertop consuming too many free samples Lol!😇I thought everyone would enjoy a few more paparazzi photos taken at the Bay!🤗

Now that Liz and Silvertop are heading back home, I will do a quick rewind of our adventure at Boulevard Park Lol!😇
See the rocky shoreline, just next to the “Woods Coffee Shop”?
This was a steep hillside that was starting to erode away from the waves rolling in from the Ocean during strong Winter storms!
They did a wonderful job landscaping this spot with truckload after truckload of rocks and boulders!😅
The building the Coffee shop is in now, originally housed the Steem turbine, and boiler for the “E.K. Wood Lumber Mill from approximately 1900 to 1920!
The entire Park sits on what was originally an industrial waterfront.
After cleaning it up, City planners had the foresight to set this land aside for the Park you see today!😇🤗
Miles of trails from this spot, connect the City’s of Bellingham and Fairhaven together!😅
What a change my friends, from an industrial dumping ground, to what you see today!😊
Anything is possible, if you have the vision!😇

The places "wasteland" and "park" are already very different from each other, let alone "industrial wasteland" and "seaside park". 🧘♂️
I think that with enough time, effort, and motivation, almost every place (no matter how "ugly") can be made (more) beautiful. 🧘♂️

The history of this part of the bay is very interesting @silversaver888!😇
There is even a large rock outcropping out in the water, and when you read the plaque on the boardwalk, it will tell you it is a pile of scrap tin that a cannery years ago, dumped out dock doors into the bay!🙄
