“Rockin’ Out Dude!”🤗 My Actifit Report Card: April 12 2026

“Rockin’ Out Dude!”🤗
“Liz…. Is that a broken door you are standing behind?”😍
Silvertop doesn’t have a clue why someone would bury the remains of a door in the sand, along the shore of the Nooksack River!🤔
The Mrs and I went exploring the Everson River Park after Church today!😊
We were curious about how the river bed might have changed, given that we had two to three times the river went over flood stage this Winter!🙄
I say two to three times, because this past Winter has become a complete blur….. it rained and flooded so much Lol!😅
Never underestimate the extreme raw power of a raging river my friends!😬
In the fourth photo, you can see what is left of someone’s riding lawnmower that was carried away by the fast moving water!😳
To get an even better perspective of how dangerous this river can become, check out @elizabethbit post today!😍
She snapped a photo of some unsuspecting passer-by standing next to an enormous pile of trees, that were carried downstream!😮
With her telephoto camera on her iPhone, she also captured a massive log jam under the highway bridge!
I can only imagine the sound of full sized trees slamming into the concrete supports of this bridge!😬
The gravel beach/shore that you see in the photos today, will be where our Church will be having “Water Baptisms” next Sunday!😊
Aren’t you glad the Winter rains are coming in an end?……….
Silvertop definitely is Lol!😇👍
Have a wonderful week ahead everyone!
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

Do you think that riding mower was abandoned before flooding, or was it carried by the waters?

I believe it was actually carried by the floodwaters... several years ago a car was tumbled multiple times and the owner was killed during the Everson flood @silversaver888 !🙄😳

The river sure looks a lot more enjoyable to visit now than just a little while ago! It's wild that the riding mower is still there after so much time. That was probably something that someone didn't expect to lose! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

People underestimate the power of raging water.... it can carry automobiles downstream as well!!
A very dangerous place to be during the storm🙄

Oh, indeed, hence people trying to drive their cars through a flooded area of road. Water is one of the most powerful forces on earth, and people really should learn some respect I'd say. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Everson River Park looks fascinating. It's cool you got to check it out esp. after the floods that happened there. Looks like some areas need a bit of clearing out too. Really looks lovely there though. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos. Enjoy your week ahead!

It's interesting how every time we go down to the river the shoreline changes....
Sometimes there's a big drop off other times it's flat, but most times there's enough firewood for several years if someone came to cut it!!😇😀

Rivers are awesome. Scary, yes, but just amazing. When the big rains come here, the rivers grow quickly and dangerously, pulling everything with them that is not properly secured.

Hopefully everyone knows that the river can do that my friend!😅😇
Many years ago, there were teenagers parked down by a river and a flash flood filled the river and carried them away downstream!
