“Dis Tree Too Dry…….Man!”🐸
“Yep….. I do believe this tree needs a bit of water PEPE Lol!”😇
Outside it’s a completely different story!😅
What do you do on a rainy Sunday in November?……………
“Liz, I am pulling the Christmas tree out of the box!”😍
Outside the weather has been playing “Cat and Mouse” Lol!😅
One day the river is over its normal banks, and access to the rocky shoreline is no longer possible…………….
The next day the river has flushed out all the rain water coming down from the Mountains, and it’s hard to believe we were very close to flooding!😮
Until you start spotting the “Flood Area” signs along low lying county roads!😳
November 16, is certainly early to start putting up our Christmas tree, but it isn’t the record………
Liz tells me that this is the fifth year for this “pre-lit” Christmas tree!
The first year we purchased this tree and put it up on the Mrs Birthday, November 11 !🥰
Silvertop has always been a die hard Live Christmas tree fan……all my life!😊
Until we started looking at hardwood flooring for our home!
That last year with a “Live” Christmas tree, Silvertop had just put down new plywood underlayment, and we were looking through hundreds of flooring samples!😅
We actually had such a large pile of “rejected” flooring samples, we ended up burning them in our wood stove for days Lol!😇
The house was very warm Lol!🤣
That’s when I noticed a pile of “Sap” that had dripped from one of the branches, and was several inches tall on the plywood underlayment!😳
After Christmas, I scraped, I used “Goo-Gone” sticky remover, I sanded…………🙄
Even as a small child growing up with my Parents buying a live tree every year, I never saw this strange phenomenal happen!🤔
That’s when we decided that instead of risking damaging the new Oak flooring, we would go artificial!
Our grown and Married kids, now carry on the “Live Christmas tree” tradition!🥰
“Dad, “Stony Ridge Farm” has the most beautiful “Live” trees, they even shake the tree to remove dead needles, and wrap it for easy rooftop transportation!
It’s only $98 a tree!”😍
“Son, I think we will stick to our tree in a box, it’s basically free now Lol!😇

Hmmm………….🙄
I guess water is better than sticky tree sap Lol!😇
