“Is It Friday Yet?”😇
Cot certainly looks tired, he has been working very hard these last couple of Months!😻
Cinco De Mayo…..May 5th………..
“Silvertop he’s coming up our road! He has a very full load of logs! I hope he clears the power lines!”🥰
Our order of four cords of firewood logs, somehow turned into six cords!😳
He backed his truck slightly over the hill alongside our driveway, and began to dump these massive logs!
Liz texted our neighbor Jan………..
“I can hear the log truck Liz, how exciting!”🤗
This is how it all began!☺️
Ten days of chainsawing, and four trips to the workshop to re-sharpen chains!
Twelve Pick up truck loads of firewood rounds, were then loaded ….and then unloaded near my wood shed for splitting!😊
Each day since then, I would spend 30 minutes splitting wood!😅
The split firewood pile began to grow………
Six foot tall, seven foot………….
“Liz I think on one side, it’s eight foot tall Lol!”😇
This last week I started going out to the wood pile to split two to three times a day! I knew I was getting close to finishing!
“Silvertop why are you pushing so hard to finish!”🥰
Silvertop could see the “finish line” just up ahead!😊
Of course…. my second to last log was filled with “Knots”! I had to bring out my metal wedges and my sledgehammer!😅
I guess that was only fitting Lol!🥵
I picked up the very last log and placed it in position……. (third to last photo)😇
With a mighty blow of my Ax…..Silvertop was finished!🤗
“Silvertop are you going to take today off, or are you going to start stacking this firewood Lol?”🥰
“I think I’ll just do nothing today Liz, both Cot and I am a bit tired!”😇
Till tomorrow…… and the beginning of firewood stacking, Silvertop Mike 😊
