Nothing like a hot humid day to have everyone looking for a cool shady hiking trail!😅

Slow moving water, is a good way to describe the creek that flows through the Lynden City Park Lol!🙄
If you remember some of our hikes in the winter this stream becomes a torrent of very fast moving water that can sweep you off your feet!😳
Today it’s but a trickle!😇
“Silvertop…..did I hear correctly, is PEPE trying to hot wire that small truck?”🥰

This shady Park proved to be the perfect escape from today’s sweltering heat!🥵
The city had recently closed this trail for five days so they could re-black top, and fix tree roots that were heaving the trails!

The Park trails are beautiful, but so many people are riding the trails with these electric bikes!🙄
Everyone (including Silvertop) is also glued to their phones, and now no one even walks or pedals a bike anymore!
“No one is getting ANY exercise Liz!” 🤔
“Silbertop, I climb dis tall “City Mountain” I get good exercise…….Man!”🐸
“Liz I think I’ll go join PEPE, I’ll see if I can beat him to the top!”🤗

Yes, today, I was almost run over by a small child on a bike from behind, then his father on roller blades, a fast moving e-bike.......perhaps I need a neon vest with flashing lights on it, so THEY can see me, lol!🤗💜🌹🐸

I love to see Pepe on this tour. I actually used a flog in my last LMAC post and it also reminds me of Signal, a frog used by geo cacher. It's fun to have a mascot with you on tour because you always find a reason to shoot photos.

Everyone is glued to their phone screen and you are right, you don't even have to pedal a bike anymore... What has happened to this world of ours? Technology may give us a lot of benefits, but I often wonder if the cost to what human life used to be is too great? There are guys who have AI girlfriends, that I do not understand... I guess I'm just too old, I prefer real relationships personally!
