" SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDER'S " ............... Actifit Report Card: November 23 2023

Uh……Oh…… if you read my post from yesterday, you already know how this is going to play out Lol!😇
With all three kids grown, and having life’s of their own, Thanksgiving this year is just the Mrs, and Silvertop!😍
Tomorrow we are headed to our oldest son’s home for one day late “Thanksgiving”!🥰
Déjà vu …….
Thanksgiving day, the traditional day for the Silvertop’s to put on our warm winter coats, and our insulated Canadian made “Sorel” pack boots, and hike aimlessly into the mountains, through deep snow, searching for the perfect Christmas tree!😇
This year the Christmas tree came out of a box Lol!🤣
I know guys, it’s not the same as freezing, hiking miles, and forgetting what direction is home!🙄
So Liz and Silvertop pulled the tree out of the box, Silvertop stacked all three sections together, and we plugged it in!
Done…… 🤗
Well almost, Liz will add the ornaments later!
“ Silvertop it’s 1:30 can we make it to “Soaring Eagle” and back before dark?”🥰
Sure honey………..😇
Off we hiked, the three of us…………….
Ohh….. I forgot to mention @actifit-lamb wanted to see the snow covered mountains!
On the 23rd of November, the Sun is very low in the sky!
Silvertop was enjoying today’s hike with the Mrs, but I was also very much watching the time!
We just needed to be out of the forest, and back on our road at twilight, that was the plan!😇
When we finally made it to the crest of “Soaring Eagle”, a cold wind was blowing hard, coming down the valley from the north east!🥶
We hiked down several switchbacks, and the wind started picking up!
@actifit-lamb jumped out of Liz’s pack just long enough for the Mrs. to snap some photos…… see @elizabethbit post!😍
Lamb didn’t like the cold weather, every night she is cozied up next to the glowing wood stove and Cot!😻
She has become an indoor Lamb Lol!😇
Before Silvertop could turn 180 degrees and start hiking back uphill, Liz, and Lamb, were already headed to the top of the ridge!
Just after 4 o’clock we made it to our road, home was just minutes away!
When the Mrs unlocked the mudroom door, you immediately could smell delicious food cooking!
“ Just in time Silvertop, it looks like we timed another Thanksgiving hike just right Lol!”🤗
