Road Closed!!!😳
Silvertop went outside to fire up the generator early this morning to find debris scattered everywhere!🙄
Recycling……including plastic bottles, and cardboard scattered across the backyard!😮
I found my garbage cans hundreds of feet away……………
“ Liz you need to come outside and take a look at our road, NO ONE is getting out of our street today!
A massive Maple tree took out grid electricity, and all the residents of our street were being held hostage!
Except………. Liz and Silvertop!😇
If you remember today is Liz’s Birthday!🤗🎉
This tree fell just above our driveway, so Silvertop cleared a few branches so Liz could drive to town and enjoy whatever, or wherever, she wanted to go today…..her day!🥰
Take a look at the fifth photo, that cable you are looking at, is Liz and Silvertops internet!😬
They tell me the power cables snaps first, and the internet usually stretches Lol!😇
Liz drove over branches, and soon we were down in the valley………
It’s like two distinctly different worlds……..
Living in the Mountains definitely presents challenges, and redundant backups, like my smaller second generator in the next photo.😀
Very little solar electricity today, so I ran the large generator to top up our Solar batteries, then the small generator to power the house………..
Just in case the storm continues!😇
I am not expecting grid power to be restored till Monday!🙄
Liz ordered a “Free” peppermint mocha, today from Starbucks, and of course a latte for Silvertop!😇🤗
