Today was a continuation of our belated family Christmas! As I was finishing my hair this morning, I heard a knock on the bedroom door. It was my son holding two coffees! One for me and one for @silvertop! They were both made exactly how we like them. He’d gone into town to get something for breakfast and ran through Starbucks drive through! I was nicely surprised! When I got downstairs, he was busy creating breakfast for us! Biscuits and gravy, bacon and sausage, plus eggs were on the menu. Agi had gone to a dentist appointment to finish up some work. I’ve never heard of a dentist with office hours on a Sunday.
Breakfast was delicious! As soon as Agi got home, we headed out for a drive in the nearby mountains. These trails were only about 20 minutes from their home, and the river was simply beautiful! Take a look at all this eye candy!
I’ve got tons of pictures and will share more in future posts.
It was a lovely time that ended too soon. Saying goodbye is always hard for me and today was no different. When we left, we headed to the drive through for another round of coffee before braving the crazy drivers on the road home. It took about 2.5 hours to arrive at home. I’m tired, but in a good way. It’s been a wonderful belated Christmas!!

That means you have traveled back and you're back to work?
Work is tomorrow. We couldn't stay longer as Agi had work on Monday and our son Bill had work today. We are planning another trip down soon; in August, Agi's brother is coming from Hungary and we will meet him for the first time. It will be awesome to see him!

Beautiful scenery of the Pacific northwest after a hearty breakfast that you didn't have to make, so idyllic. Closet river to me is the Coquitlam river crossed by an old steel truss bailey bridge and not exactly picturesque. I'd probably have a McD's medium coffee and I usually get them free. Lol!

Fortunately, it wasn't too high, although that doesn't bother me much. What bothered me more was my son jumping up and down making the whole thing bounce! It was a cable suspension type bridge so that was a bit spooky!
