Growing up and making wishes
Those were the talk of the Town
Say positive things they say
And that will you achieve!

She said more than a thousand,
Wrote down a million,
Sang thrillions.

Years after years!
Stagnancy was the case!
Nothing changed!
Except for ages.

Thoughts began to crawl
They sneaked in in bits
She fought and fought,

A good fighter she was
Physically and spiritually!
The thought battle got worse.

Almost conquering, seems fate had it
That defeat she would conceive.

Her thoughts won
Not just any thoughts

The thought that;
She was never gonna make it
She grew sad as the days went by

Lost in her own thoughts
She would always hiss and curse
The thought was eating her up.

Down in depression all hopes were lost
Never to pick them up again she swore,
There was no need hoping when nothing was working.

Hoping for a brighter future
When nothing was sparking up!
Fighting daily when defeat was the case
She rested her case.

Struggling to survive
When others had it all at fingertips
What then was she living for she thought out loud.

Self hatred grew
Just like the elephant grass,
It was ready to wound
couldn't believe anything anymore.

All the preaches were now cliches
All the positivity become a mirage
More of an illusion she said,
There was nothing to believe
And nothing to hope for.

All a sudden,
You showed up from nowhere
Your presence was questioned
A positive response was got

Turned away to the other side
Never wanted to hear more!
Seems useless as everything was fruitless

Yelling she gave.
Hitting and cursing
But yet, he held on tight.

The sea raged,
Mountains levelled up
The valleys surrendered

As her rage was that powerful
A strong woman indeed
Was defeated.

Never having a scornful look she said
Even after knowing the story,
He gave yet;
Another affirmation
With a true confirmation

stayed to watch all the tears dry up
The stare he gave
Blinded all the doubtful thoughts.

Feels like rain water
Poured all over
She shrinked in

And this time
To her normal senses
Quick recovery she gained

"You're a hero
Don't reduce yourself to zero
You're a queen
Not a sleek
You're beautiful
You're smart
You're a fighter
An achiever
You're worth more than many sparrows
You've got an excellent spirit
So smile and never let it go away."

Those were his words!

His magnificent smile
His unending promises
The way he speaks
Brought wholeness and peace.

Those words sinked down to the innermost part.
Smiles returned
A confirmation was needed
So she sprang up
A fighter, she was,
A fighter she'd be!!!

She stopped,
She stood
She fought
And she won.
