Ahhh, love the smell of fresh silver!

Ok, let's take a break from my Holy Silver posts, for an unboxing of fresh silver!

Let's open this baby up and see what we got this time πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Three silver pieces! Neat!

Let's have a better look!

received_859309055158962.jpeg

The first piece is a commerorative one dollar from Canada minted in 1981, for the 100th anniversary of the Trans Canada railway. Hence the old school train on the front. Duh!

This babe weights 23.32 grams, with a purity of 0.500.

Our next piece is also a one dollar from the same country:

received_1129718944360467.jpeg

Again, a commemorative coin from 1983, for the 1983 World University Games (whatever the fuck that is) in Edmonton.

Same specs again, 23.32 g of 0.500 silver.

Like other commemorative Canadian coins, both of them have a shiny mirror finish which I have grown to find quite annoying, especially when I am trying to take a photo. Pics come out shit and I have to be careful not to dox myself, lmao πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

On the back, they both feature the same portrait of a young hot lady

🍌 πŸ’¦

And finally we have...

received_3011975839097142.jpeg

received_1246464522606642.jpeg

A Turkish lira from 1948! Technically, it's also my first Turkish coin, since the rest of my Turkish pieces were minted while it was still known as the Ottoman Empire.

This plain little fella weights 7.5 grams and is made of 0.600 silver.

Ok, that's it for today! Eventually I will make a post about each coin but in the meantime I want to finish my holy silver series. I have plenty more to cover!

Following the gold rush, The Trans Canada Railway was a key part of a deal to get British Columbia to join into Confederation with Canada otherwise we'd become a part of the USA and Canada wouldn't have a West Coast.

lately, every time I see coins from Canada on your posts, I can't stop my brain from singing the "blame Canada" song from the South Park movie ...

Nice stacks. I am really jealous. It's amazing that currencies and economies lost value simply by adding more useless mental to the cake batter.

Nice one @trumpman but i have been willing to ask, when people stack silver and gold coins for financial security what do you guys mean. I know people buy gold and sell them for raining days but for coins i still don't get it

@trumpman would you mind explaining please?

The way things going πŸ’© might be hitting the fan sooner than we think. But I say keep β€˜β€˜em cause after that they’ll be worth more!

The dollar and all currencies inflate and become more & more worthless as time goes. It’s never worked in all of history. Always ends in currency collapse. Also it’s never been done as a world reserve standard. This thing ain’t gonna end well. Gold & Silver have been solid money for over 5000 years. It holds value over long term.

Wow, you sure have a nice following... I can't help but think the Face Values of all our Coins were set too low by the same group of people and their agents...
