Ethiopia mines Bitcoin with excess hydro electric power

It seems like it’s to surreal to be true, but it is true. Ethiopia is mining Bitcoin on a large scale. 18 % of the entire electric grid in Ethiopia comes from hydro electric power. And most of the time, Ethiopia has an excess in power. That power has been used in the last year to mine Bitcoin. It makes the country a pioneer in Afrika and the world, with this very wise move.

Approximately 1 Billion USD worth of Bitcoin has been mined already this way. It is green power, and in excess. So no environmental impact. But it has a very profound impact on the economy. It is 1 billion that requires less taxation of the Ethiopians.

I can imagine that a lot of countries will follow this example, especially those with abundant natural resources.

Assuming the mining has been done since 10 years ago and continues 24/7, then every day gives an income from mining of at least $270,000. 🤔🤯🤯🤯🤓😅 !WEIRD !INDEED !DIY
