Being without a smartphone sucks...

A whole week smartphoneless

Last Monday my Iphone and all my cards, ID, driver's license, etc... got stolen in Barcelona, while on holiday. It sucks, but I am over it. Shit happens. But it does have extra fall out, which I hadn't anticipated.

2 factor authentication

It is a great invention, 2FA, it makes things safe, very safe. But it has some downsides to it. I already have a new Iphone, since Friday. But I can't use it yet, because of 2FA. It's like this, my iCloud reserve copy of my phone can be uploaded on my new phone, but only if I put in the code they send to my phone number. Which is impossible, because I haven't received my new sim card yet. So long for 2FA, it makes my new iPhone useless. I can't use it the way I want, with my reserve copy from last Monday.

Hopefully my new sim will arrive tomorrow, so I can finally use my phone again as I want to.

Withdrawel effects

I am having real withdrawal effects. After being used to using a smartphone for over 10 years, daily, I now have been smartphoneless for a whole week. It is fun, and scary at the same time. I have much less worries, because nobody can reach me. But I do feel scared about how much business I have possibly lost because of not being able to communicate with people that are trying to reach me. As a self employed person, your smartphone is pivotal in your business.

So, let's hope tomorrow things work out as they should and I can use my phone again!

It just shows how important these things have become in our lives... Sadly!

OMG tbh I am happy that at least you went on to be alive cause in our city some one pointed a gun at a guy asking him for his cell phone when he refused he was shot dead, but still this is quite depressing and saddening as to what happened to you.

Some one stole 100 dollars which was my hard earned salary in a subway train as well and I think my mistake was I was busy talking too much on my passenger seat :(.
