SWAP.STEEM for a Nickel?

On hive-engine someone dumped a bunch of swap.steem, lowering the price to .13 HIVE each.

Coinmarketcap seems to think STEEM is still worth more than a nickel...

Would you pick up STEEM for a nickel or is it not even worth that? Curious to hear your thoughts!

It's up to 20 cents. That's too rich for my blood. If it was actually 5 cents I would pick up some Steem and sell it the next day.

I have not used Steem since a long time. I sold all of my Steem for Hive after the creation of the Hive blockchain. After that I posted only Actifit posts to the Steem blockchain (and I also posted the Actifit posts to the Hive blockchain). The last time I posted an Actifit post was on 2022.05.01. I currently have 5.882 Steem Power, 0.139 Steem and $0 HBD in my Steem blockchain wallet.

HIVE Engine has a liquidity problem.

Many of the coin pairs have few active bids. A transaction of just one HIVE can result in wild swings in many of the coins.

The low liquidity and huge gap between BID and ASK means there are opportunities for people who like such things to make a few HIVE pennies playing the market.

Unfortunately, HE is plagued with bid bots. The bid bots are pretty good and identifying the best pairs to follow.

Only if you buy to sell later. In the long term it is very unclear what will happen to it...

I liquidated all my Steem in the past, now I only have a few coins inside and I don't think I will invest anymore in a project that I don't think has big growth margins.

There is certainly some speculation, but as far as I'm concerned, I prefer to focus exclusively on Hive!
