We Are Alive! January 31st, 2023 Cold Outside: Game Night!

It's cold outside and I forgot my hat! The snow was falling and it was those big flakes that stick to everything.

Today we have some children with a illnesses and daddy and mommy spent a lot of time up with the children. But there's still time for some special daddy-mommy time, with a game of Settlers of Catan! It's nice to be inside where it's warm and cozy.

Have you ever played Settlers of Catan?

It's a fun game of resource gathering and building, while out-competing your opponents. Your settlement placement and the roll of the dice, along with trade and strategy, will determine the outcome. It's about 60% luck (dice rolls, development cards) and 40% skill (settlement placement, strategy). Good strategy and skill can ensure a win, even with dice rolls that are not in your favor, but it takes thought and planning.

You can play online for free, but the physical game is the most fun!

Greetings, I hope your children get better soon, it's really the first time I've seen this game, but it seems very interesting, I'm going to look it up on the internet, I think that physical games are always more entertaining to share with the family, God bless you and your family, stay alive and healthy.

I've wanted to try Settlers of Catan for quite some time, but never had a chance. Need the game, need people who like other boardgames than tic-tac-toe... I did get to play a few rounds of the dice version some 12 years ago, and it was ok. Small enough to bring on a trip, and short enough that it can be played between supper and going out to do touristy things.
