We Are Alive! April 13th, 2022 Wednesday
Today we are getting out lamb roast for Friday, it's a very special night for our family. There are opportunities to teach our children every day, but the night of remembrance, it's a special opportunity for teaching.
We have built our entire ceremony around our children. We cover a lot of topics, but the one we begin with is the teaching to beware of hypocrisy. But not just the classical definition of "hypocrisy", saying one thing but doing another. Of course this is no good. But the aspect of "hypocrisy" we are warning of is a little less nefarious: hypocrisy is play-acting.
It would be tempting for us to turn the event into a stage-play, or performance. But we are to do it in sincerity and truth.
It's not complicated, we just have to keep it REAL.

With everything happening on going about education in the news (and what they decide to teach children), I think it's fairly important to teach them directly. Sometimes I just don't understand the entire overreach by the educational system.
Children are the future of tomorrow, any opportunity to teach them the right path should be fully taken advantage off. We need more of this in these days and times.
