If you follow my blog then you probably already know that my life as a blogger generally started at the year 2018 when I discovered Hive. Before then, I wrote short stories on a whatsapp group that I was a member of.

After I joined Hive, it was obvious there were a lot of things I didn’t know about the platform, so I quickly searched for groups that I could join on WhatsApp to help enlighten myself about Hive. I’m still a member of some of those groups till date. It was at those groups that I made friends, friends that were united with one goal, to make money. But as time went by, those of them that were only here for the money left because they weren’t seeing the money like they expected, but the few of us who stayed back tried to survive and that was when our focus started to shift from the money, to the different people from all over the world that the blockchain gave us the opportunity to be friends with.

If you’re from Nigeria then you probably know how hard it is to become friends with anyone from a foreign country because the first thing that comes to their mind the moment we tell them we’re Nigerians is that we’re about to scam them and though I understand where they got that mentality from, it just wasn’t fair for those of us who genuinely wanted to be their friends.

Anyways, when it comes to friends I’ve made on the blockchain, I’ve actually made quite a handful, unfortunately some of them will like to remain anonymous. But one person that I would mention here even if he asks to be anonymous is @burlarj. I and Burlarj met at one of those whatsapp groups that I earlier mentioned and even though Burlarj is now a big man with multiple source of income (even though he will never admit it) he still responds to my text whenever I go to his dm asking him for direction on how to sign up for one blockchain stuff or another.

Burl has always been a good friend and I hope we continue being friends. Maybe one day, when I get as rich as he is, we would link up and I would finally be able to repay him for the good things he has done for me during the years.
