My First gift from the hive blockchain

Good morning famz!... New week New blessings.. May this week favor us in all our endeavour..

The very first time i use my money to purchase something that will help me greatly in life was when i bought a new phone in jan 29 in the year 2018 to make my work easier on the hive blockchain...

I joined the steemit blockchain on december 2017 but before then i was a teacher and i didn't have any serious thing i was using my phone to do except to chat, so i really didn't have much issue with the phone i was using until i joined the hive blockchain...

It is always world war between me and the phone whenever i try posting because it just keeps hanging and most time i will spend 7 hours just to get a post done, because whenever it hangs, i have to wait for some minutes for it to respond so i can keep typing....

Amidst the pain of waiting to type and post, i bare it all and keep blogging but it was not easy, i could not comment well on others post because i just give up on that whenever i have issue dropping a comment or the phone hangs along the way but i don't fail to drop a post and it was not daily, sometimes 3 times in a week or less...

I had a plan and that was using the money i earned from blogging to buy a new phone but it got to an extent that my old phone could not take it anymore and it becomes harder to post too, i had to check my wallet to check how much i have in there...

I cashed out the money and i was having around 21 thousand naira but when i got to the slot, it was not enough to buy the phone i desire....

Out of the phones they showed me, i fell in love with the techno L8 lite but the price was 29 000 naira and i have got no more money on me.....

When i joined hive then, i had a mentor who guide me on how to post and other things i need to know, he is @pearlumie but unfortunately he is no longer active.. He was the one i called that lend me money to complete the payment of the new phone....

That was my first gift from the hive blockchain and it helps to boost my career too, my phone no longer hangs, i could communicate with others both on the chain and also on the chat app easily.... No more pains and stress for hours just to post ....

That was when i realize a good tool is necessary to do a good job!

21,000 was quite a lot of money then and I can tell that the new phone did make a huge difference for you.

yea it was not easy for me to get that money back then, it was the money i earned for more than a month of blogging.... how time flies and the phone was the start of something new

One of my hater's must have don't that. Can't please everyone and if you do well people hate you for it. A good tool is necessary for a good job indeed. While reading your post, I realize mine is similar to this too which I will be posting soon. The issue of a phone hanging can be daunting and that was what I went through.

This is me and my phone currently. Whenever I am on the block chain, it hangs. It takes so much time for blog pages to open, it takes time for messages and everyother thing to get uploaded. In fact, it takes time with everything. And it can be very draining that I'll just give up even when I plan to go on a commenting spree. It's even worse on the discord channels. Ha!

Meanwhile, good for you!
I'm currently saving to get a better phone. If I have to excel on here, then I need to up my game.

Even though my other phone didn’t take 7 hours to come back to life it still annoyed me a lot😂. It made it in such a way I would easily get annoyed with any thing that I did cause it will lag until I get totally bored.

The battery was horrible plus the very stupid network.
Mehn I really suffered until I couldn’t take it anymore and I had to buy a new one.

Indeed! Having the right tools is very important in effectively and efficiently doing our work(s). I also used to encounter the frustration that comes with not being able to do your work properly because you don't have the right tool. Mine was a clunky laptop that always freezes.

hope you were able to change it, i once had a laptop without a back up too which made me kind of hate using laptop that time, but then when i changed it, i realized laptop is the best for online work....

Yes, I eventually changed it.

Indeed. Mobile is good but the screen is small which makes it near impossible to do some kind of works on it.

Seriously I love what you used to your money for, one can just say you invested instead, because the money was not really used but deposited to earn more. Some will go for irrelevant stuffs forgetting that tomorrow is bigger than today.

I can relate very well with phones like that, I guess it was an itel product🤣 boss you are really patient, if were someone else all the post would have to wait until a Moses comes for it's rescue🤣🤣

This is the mistake some people do, because instead of them to take the first step, they are busy waiting for someone to help them, if you don't help yourself, no one will help you, when i made up my mind to buy the phone, i got help from a friend doing well on the platform....

wow, such a long journey on blockchain, I also started to know that since 2017 it's just that I wasn't too focused because I didn't have a definite goal yet, and during hive you also have a mentor who is definitely very valuable for you, so you can be like now this and buying some items from the hive like your new phone of course these things are very useful for the progress of your hive congrats on your achievement
