It could be about anything really. Ranging from a memorable quote to a story or maybe just a random question about life itself. Literally any subject is open for discussion but I will try and not let it get too weird !

You are also welcome to talk about any other subject you like.

To enter the competition you simply have to make any type of comment on this post and I will do a daily random draw for 3 lucky winners.

RANDOM.ORG offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet. The randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs

Thanks for reading. #rtotd

Hmmm I think there's no one goal one should have. But to still stay within that framework:

Goal 1; find your passion
Goal 2; get really good/knowledgeable when it comes to said passion

Of course this comes after the more basic goals of survival/ food/ safety etc

Interesting question. First and foremost our single most important goal should be survival of our planet. Unless we all stop being so selfish and start caring about all the little ways in which we adversely affect our "home", we won't have a "home" for much longer. We need to address climate change and the chain of causality that accompanies it. We need to address world population growth. We need to address the issue of food security. We need to address the rapid extinction of animal and plant species. We need to address corruption in governments around the world. If, however, we were to put all that aside and for a moment assume that the RTOTD is simply about a selfish goal unrelated to the life of our planet and those around us, then I'd have to say that our individual goal should be to pursue our passions in life, strive to be happy and fulfilled, and pass on our joy to others.

I like this! I immediately was thinking about personal goals, but you are absolutely right that this common goal surpasses that!

I think i's ok to have immediate personal goals and wider ranging goals for humanity :-)

Everyone? Then I'll say everyone should find their purpose why they were given birth to into this world, knowing what your purpose is will go a long way making other dreams come true.

Our purpose in life should be the driven force behind our every decision made about our dreams.

Thanks for this opportunity

I really think one of them should be striving to make the world a better place any way you can.

The little help you render, the kind words you tell someone, the beautiful smile you share, the wonderful stories you share, that spicy food you give, that little assistance you show to the needy, can go a long way to make the world a better place.. They're a lot of things to be done and if done right, things would change.

Everyone has their individual goals but I'll say that we should do what makes us happy, happiness is a key ingredient to long life.

Individual liberty. Without it, the collective is meaningless. There's no way humans can destroy the planet, although we could do a lot of damage to the lifeforms on it. Worrying about "the planet" is what the elite who run this world want us to do. That's silly. The planet will always be here. We need to care about ecosystems and ecological diversity, sure, but "the planet" will not fall apart. It will be fine no matter what us silly humans do. What we need to focus on is freedom. Without it, nothing else matters. If you don't have freedom, everything else (even your life) can be taken from you.

Interesting one! I was first thinking about personal goals but the answer by @samsmith1971 has changed my perspective. What are personal goals compared to collective ones? We are but a tiny tiny tiny dot on the timeline of the universe.
So changing my answer haha and I think our goal should be to make our habitat, earth, a pleasant place for all. That means other species, so taking care of our planet and not polluting it to bits, but also other humans: respecting each other and the fact that we are all different. I really hope we can find a peaceful way of cohabitating with each other in a way that keeps our beautiful planet safe

What is the most important goal every person should have?

Financial freedom

Everyone should strive to be financially stable

Having the thoughts of being financially free in mind will guide one's financial decisions

I basically agree with @riandeuk except that he listed two goals implying that the first is the most important "find your passion."

My dad always said it like this:

Find something you like to do and get paid for it.

I did that.

Now I want to go one more step and find something I'm passionate about. I'm getting closer than I ever have but I'm still not there yet.

I think finding the reason for one's being in this world is the most important goal everyone should have.

Unless we know what we are here for, we cannot live a meaningful life. The life becomes meaningful when it has a purpose. The purpose motivates and inspires us to grow and move forward. It gives us a sense of worthiness.

A difficult question, with difficult answers.
Living an examined life would seem to be a reasonable course of action for anything that has the capacity for such an endeavour.

I don't really nhave much to say on that ,but I want to believe that living a life of impact tow is what we should all live for a life that brings peace and harmony ,a life that becomes the source of Joy and upliftment for other's.

Having a good impact in others is what ni really hope will all live for

The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." Malcolm X

Aside that,the quote above by you reminds me of one word ;

You don't eat your tomorrow today, cause today is sweet

Thw statement above means alot and I must say,it is what I do see as a motivation.thstnkewoa me going always in life often and often
