10 Myths About Climate Change

Quote of the Day

“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine.” —Morris West

I have started this competition in the hope that this will prove to be a fun and interesting way to get people to interact and engage with each other here on #proofofbrain

It could be about anything really. Ranging from a memorable quote to a story or maybe just a random question about life itself. Literally any subject is open for discussion but I will try and not let it get too weird !

You are also welcome to talk about any other subject you like.

To enter the competition you simply have to make any type of comment on this post and I will do a daily random draw for 3 lucky winners.

You are not required to Upvote, Re-Blog or Follow but it would be nice.

Prizes

1st Place = 5 POB + 1 Upvote
2nd Place = 1 POB + 1 Upvote
3rd Place = 0.50 POB + 1 Upvote

Congratulations To Yesterdays Winners

1st Place - @pthker2010
2nd Place - @samsmith1971
3rd Place - @mineopoly

I use https://www.random.org/ to pick the winner with TRUE RANDOMNESS !!

RANDOM.ORG offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet. The randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs

I wouldn't say global warming is a myth, it is a grave issue that needs to be tackled before it gets worse.

Thank you for coming up with this contest and I'm glad I'm participating for the first time.

Congrats @samsmith1971 I see you're really working hard. Keep up the good work.

It's tough to know the truth on this matter because it has been obscured with bad politics, dirty science, lies, propaganda, and censorship. I don't trust the mainstream narrative on this issue, I'll tell you that much! Carbon taxes? Come on, carbon is what we're all made of, it's what all life is made of. We're carbon-based lifeforms! Going to war against carbon is stupid. As for carbon dioxide (CO2), that's just plant food. We've had levels 100 times higher than it is now, at various times in history. The main result? Plants thrived! Lush rain forests and jungles full of life. So I don't claim to know everything about this topic but I know the official story isn't accurate.

I don't know much about this one, but the last time I was in the Alps someone told me there was a lot more ice up there thirty years ago. The same might go for Greenland or the Artic circle. As for me personally I haven't seen a day under body temperature in four weeks and every time I turn on the air conditioner the world just gets a little bit hotter.

What a cute picture with the polar bears! It takes your mind a bit off the grim reality that not only is climate change real, but it will be devastating and we have caused it ourselves....
What I find most difficult to understand is that most people now agree that climate change is real, most governments acknowledge is and say we should do something about it and..... not enough is being done! Why is that? Are we too comfortable with our lifestyles? Do we not want to change? I find it very frustrating really. Also from my own government (Netherlands) who are not really willing to do anything, unless forced to by lawsuits. I find we as humans are really short selling the beautiful planet that gives us life!

Is good to be back here knce again after been out for a very long time, due to illness and am very happy that am back and better now and let me say a big congratulations to everyone who has managed to win one or two gift in this talk room,I want to say you guys are champions, congratulations to @pthker2010 and the rest am happy to be here once more.

Don't really know much about climate change ,so I won't be talking much about it and have gone through others people comment and have seen thier take and say on this, but I won't be saying anything so that I won't be on the receiving end of copying or rephrasing what they nhave said.

But permt me to shift my attention someone else and take a look at another topic from you or I should say the wise quote that was dropped by you.

“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine.” —Morris West

Even though it is a little bit late seeing this, but I still want to say it is good to have the understanding that life on it own has a perfect way of not being fair at times,so if is better that we makes user of every minute we got judiciously,it is not about pondering on the bade side of life most times, but we should always examine the raining season time (good time) and enjoy every bit of it.

Let me also say rhet we should learn how to celebrate our success than thinking and having so much time to spend looking at our failure in life,we should understand that irrespective of how small it might be ,we should always take time to give little praise to what will have managed to achieve in time frame.

Global warming ain't no myth, it's evidently real, especially during summers. So that should do, because seeing is believing. How much more when we feel the heat and warmth?
