So I know I have asked about aliens before but this is a different question altogether.
How do you think humanity would react to proof of extraterrestrial life ?
Personally I think with the way the world is today that a lot of people would completely freak out. !!

It could be about anything really. Ranging from a memorable quote to a story or maybe just a random question about life itself. Literally any subject is open for discussion but I will try and not let it get too weird !

We react violently to other animals, and to each other, so I think we would reach to life from elsewhere in a violent manner. Not all of us, but in general I think we would try to control and abuse aliens if possible. (But chances are they will be fare more advanced than us, so it wouldn't even be a fair fight!)

People would freak out if aliens can reach us. Otherwise, business as usual. It's not like we master space warp yet, traveling in the space is still nearly impossible.
So if the aliens can reach us, which means they are higher dimension beings; and there is no way we can fight them.
The way human being encounter unknowns (just like how we initially faced COVID), people might end up rush to buy more toilet papers.
Definitely I agreed with you on this and it is going to be very hard for humanity to contain such discovery or happening again,I want to say the last time I heard about this was in the movie and even the experience on how the movie was acted shows that it goes beyond bee supernatural as that is going to cause lot of fear and panic to the human race.
Hope this doesn't happen at all,seems am getting nit emotional right now,but any way it won't,cause it won't sound well at all .

I'm assuming we would see them coming and the USA would send up an escort and have all manner of guided nuclear weapons ready to fire if necessary. We cannot assume that they would be able to communicate with us at all. And they may not even attempt to land on our planet unless they found a way to communicate with the ISS which they would probably be aware of after doing their own due diligence. It would be quite a conundrum indeed as I don't think human beings would react very well, because they would be fearful of the unknown. It would be a true test of our humanity as to how we engaged with alien life from the outset. I would hope that, although extremely cautious, we wouldn't go in guns blazing.

As for the aliens, I think it depends on what kind of discovery is made and how the aliens will look and behave. Who can say for sure the aliens will look the way we imagine them 👽
Maybe they're more like the monsters in "alien" but actually sort of friendly. Or maybe they look innocent but are ruthless conquerors.
I think there will be a lot of hype and fake news surrounding it regardless.
Yeah i think when they come they will be friendly but humans will still fuck it up..!!!
