Contest Day 12 - The subject is up to you!

Hey folks.

I thought I would change it up a bit today by getting you the contestants to come up with a #rtotd to discuss.

Quote of the Day

"Live for each second without hesitation.” — Elton John

I have started this competition in the hope that this will prove to be a fun and interesting way to get people to interact and engage with each other here on #proofofbrain

It could be about anything really. Ranging from a memorable quote to a story or maybe just a random question about life itself. Literally any subject is open for discussion but I will try and not let it get too weird !

You are also welcome to talk about any other subject you like.

To enter the competition you simply have to make any type of comment on this post and I will do a daily random draw for 3 lucky winners.

You are not required to Upvote, Re-Blog or Follow but it would be nice.

I use https://www.random.org/ to pick the winner with TRUE RANDOMNESS !!!

Prizes

1st Place = 5 POB + 1 Upvote
2nd Place = 1 POB + 1 Upvote
3rd Place = 0.50 POB + 1 Upvote

If it all goes well I will increase the prizes very soon. I also intend on powering up 100% of the votes from each daily contest in order to increase the Upvote prize.

Congratulations To Yesterdays Winners

1st Place - @katerinhernandez
2nd Place - @jaxsonmurph
3rd Place - @sindetalles

Let talk about writing what the community needs,it as come to my notice that a lot of author's or those that commented on post ,just write and commented for the rewards without even considering what the content of the post or comment they are about to type carries,it is very vital now that people's post and comment should be adequately looked into,do that some set of people won't be getting rewards for what they didn't really contribute well enough for and those that have took their time to deliver what the community needs will now be getting less than what they should get

Very true, although I do feel there's a bit less generic low effort commenting going on these days compared to earlier. Another thing is that it's early days here if everything works out and grows as intended..

I like to compare it with search engine optimization and how the (back then) relatively simple Google algorithm was easy to trick. Over time this got more complex and the keyword spamming or hiding big chunks of keywords using the same font and background colour to score in ranking.. those days are long gone.

At the moment one could argue that some engagement, however simple or generic, is probably better than no engagement. With time I hope this shifts to a more meaningful way of engaging along with the rewards being distributed accordingly.

Yeah well said 😀 There are always too many people trying to use the system just to make money.

I read a good post by @vempromundo about setting up some type of Governance here. Sounds good 😉

The community is just taking its first steps, which have been forceful and very firm, and as for what they say about the comments and rewards that depends on the type of strategy that the sponsor uses, if we are in a random game, the content? It will not necessarily be valued? but reasonably speaking we can put a little more value and willingness to add quality content to leave a message in what we write. and contribute to strengthening the knowledge of people who take the time to read.

I think this is an interesting contest @ericmoonslayer. It takes a lot of initiative to get something like this started and keep it going. The prizes are actually quite large considering it doesn't take much to enter.
