THE SPECTRUM OF BRAINS IN THE POB : #POB-WOTW

I almost didn't post today, I've just been reading posts and looking for ways to engage. For the first time since I joined the Hive, I found myself today really struggling to fit in. With a 100% resource credit, me of last week would have been hard on the engagement side but it almost didn't happen today.

I was almost preparing to go to bed when I remembered the last comment @samsmith1971 made about me just getting started and it dawned on me that I couldn't let today pass without Posting something.

So I gathered enough courage to drop my entry for the #pob-wotw hosted by @calumam and posed by @scholaris, and the superb word for this week is spectrum.

A spectrum can be broadly defined and each definition can be related either to physics, government, social and economic issues. But I'll be dwelling on the social aspect as it relates to the POB.

A spectrum is a complete range of opinions, people, situations etc, going from one extreme to its opposite.

Longman Dictionary

As you can see,a spectrum can be seen as a "range" or as @alekst7 put it as a "variation" of a lot of different things, people and so on. Why I chose to look into the brain is because we're in a community where the brain is considered the selling point. You'll really need your Brain to be properly stationed in the POB .

As there are a lot of people with diverse colors, shape and races, there are also a lot of different brains. Each person generates brain activity that differs greatly from the other person.

images (23).jpegspectrum of people

We all know the brain is a sensitive part of the body which is responsible for controlling some of the activities in the body. The brain send signals that controls the other things the various part of the body do and as such the brain is very necessary.

The brain is a complex organ that controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger and every process that regulates our body. source

You can see listed above that the brain is responsible for thought, memory, emotion and other processes.

We're in a community where we share a lot of experiences, stories, achievements, research, discoveries, life topics with ourselves in a bid to increase our bond as a community and also earn. I'm proud to say that there are a lot of really talented authors in the POB who make use of their brains.

But the question is how do they use their brains??

That's where the issue of spectrum comes in, it shows a variation of different brains and their brain activity. Some brains are very excellent when it comes to telling and sharing stories about their experiences, while others might be good for fiction stories, some are bombarded with a lot of sport related stuffs, others are book warm(their head is filled with dictionary meanings), lol, and some are filled with memes.

images (1).pngspectrum of the brain

They're a lot really and the fun thing is that there are no restrictions in the Hive, every one is free to express exhaustively whatever waves their brains are sending them and share them in various platforms. For us who love to use our brains and we have no problem proving it, we're here in the Proof of brain community ready as ever.

Wherever you look in the POB , they're a lot of amazing articles that sometimes you stop yourself abruptly and wonder what must be going through that brain of the author, just like I thought today when I was going through @edystringz post about extraterrestrial beings, artificial intelligence and time travel, I kept wondering what she must have been thinking to make such a post.

The POB is all about diversity, different sets of brainy people from different countries, different age grades, different experiences in life coming together to share knowledge and move this community forward.

The spectrum of brain in the hive is one that'll really leave you in awe. I've been here for barely a month now and I can boldly say I've learnt a lot, way more than I would have thought and I've met amazing people, people that are caring, loving, fun, crazy, amazing, happy, and also very ambitious.

images (24).jpegThe hive is filled with amazing and brainy people

It'll be incomplete not to talk about ambition too in the hive. I must say healthy competition is really good for the brain and we've got that going in the POB. The whales have thought about ways to stay at the top of the food chain and also distribute part of their earnings to the little fishes and with time the little fishes learn to make use of these small tokens and their brains to make it to the top of the food chain. It's a brainy idea and I'm sure with time they would be way more brainy ideas on how to better govern the POB and move it to the next level.

I must say I'll try as much as possible to be as actively involved with my brain in the Hive and I'll see where it leads me.

I'm curious to know the type of brain you think you possess.

What type of brain do you think you possess???

For me I'll say my brain is a very adaptive one, it learns really fast and strives to know more and use the things learnt to my advantage one way or the other.

Thank you for taking time to read my entry. They'd be way better entries from this dude with time to come.

Thanks for sharing today @chincoculbert,

To start off I wanted to tell you that when I read your name the "n" somehow disappears so I only see "Chico Culbert" and it sounds like a Latin American name.

Now considering the spectrum of the brain and your question

What type of brain do you think you possess???

It would be easier to answer if you had given more examples of brain types. I'm not familiar with the term "brain type" and would like to see some examples of brain types. In your article you mentioned character traits of people... "caring, loving, fun, crazy, amazing, happy, and also very ambitious" but I think brain type is different from but not exclusive of character trait.

So far the best paper I found explaining type of brains was here at the National Library of Medicine https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5868797/ It's an interesting read and I think @nevies would like it.

Lol, I'm wondering wah kinda sorcery makes the "n" disappear, n I'm guessing your eye sight is not too worse yet. You'll have to look at my name really well next time.

Yeah character traits aren't Brain types and sorry I didn't take time to list them out. If only I read the paper sooner.

Thank you for sticking around

@mineopoly, you felt I would like this paper in the link you dropped? I checked it out and its just some scientifically inclined stuff that I'd only read if I'm researching or very inquisitive about the subject, which I'm not at the moment. Why did you think I'll like it?

Very relatable! Every brain runs it's own way, has different thoughts and opinions, yet each one is powerful and full of life.

What type of brain do you think you possess???

My brain is talkative and wants to run everywhere. I can't stick to one thing for a very long time. I get bored very easily. Also, I like to express strongly what I feel. I can't keep my emotions to myself. What I think and feel comes out.

Yeah you understand what I mean. Each brain has its own set programmes and it runs according to those programs.

My brain is talkative and wants to run everywhere. I can't stick to one thing for a very long time. I get bored very easily. Also, I like to express strongly what I feel. I can't keep my emotions to myself. What I think and feel comes out.

You have a peculiar brain, one who loves to socialize, loves being heard, expression floods your brain..no wonder you're so lively.

Thank you for taking time to drop a really good comment
