Gateway platform
- Great way to bring new players into the ecosystem
- New players who don't have any assets tend to lose, and they don't know what cards to rent....nfty arcade helps with this because the sets are already curated and ready to go
Players can rent cards so they can earn
It gives players a fun experience of the game which helps with player retention

- You can track how much you are earning on a daily basis of each individual deck that you put up

Cards on land
- Older cards will have significant bonuses to their production rate
- Mainly based on the level of the card
- You will have a limited number of slots to put cards on your plots so you will want to combine cards to get them at max level
- Runi will be special - additional benefits
- Older cards will give other advantages as well like finding totem fragments for example
Land 1.5 release - End of Q2
- Ability to Stake cards on land
- Initial buildings
- DEC will need to be staked in order for the cards to work

High level philosophy of buildings and resources
- A long term thing - building a business
- Building upgrades will take a long time for example
- Also, the level of cards you have will determine how long something will take
- The beginning phase will be slow
- Resources can be harvested without a building - this will be the slow part - starter packages would help
Plan is to automate land - check on it when you have time but workers would continue harvesting even when you are not online
One totem slot per plot
The land packages are similar to a pre sale so there may be a time limit
SPS Chain
- SPS validator node project
- It is its own side chain
- Validator nodes are the software that runs on the SPS chain
- Vouchers, sps, license tokens are on the chain
- In the future everything will be moved over to the SPS chain
- Vouchers need a bridge becaue they are handled on both chains

Safety Tip

Please watch out for scammers (especially those impersonating well known community members and/or team members). They often duplicate the profile picture and then choose a username that is nearly identical (except for an almost imperceptible difference). Please remember that the #XXXX at the end of the Discord name can be easily replicated so it is NOT a reliable indicator. The best things to check are the Join Date and any official roles in this Splinterlands Discord channel (if they aren't in this channel then that is a major red flag).

As always, any P2P trades are at your own risk. Splinterlands recommends that players use the official markets for the safest experience. But if you insist on doing P2P trades (despite these warnings), please check to make sure the other person is legitimate. And if you don't know them that well, then use a trusted intermediary/middleperson/middle🐱 (and check to make sure they are legit too).

One common theme is that players who are scammed are often in a rush to close a deal (or take advantage of what sounds like a deal that is too good to be true). If you are not 100% certain the other person is legitimate, then take some additional time - take a day or two - to make sure that the other person is really who they say they are. Also, if the other person is behaving different or suddenly starts talking weirdly (or with different grammar or broken English when then should be fluent) that can be an additional warning sign.
