Sunday Multivitamins | A Productive Weekend and Of Rest

The Singapore Team & Malaysia Team

Over the week, my company had our company's annual trip to Malacca, Malaysia. This time, it was a combined trip and everyone from the Singapore side came down to have this trip together with us. I wouldn't go in full detail about this trip just yet, maybe next week I would write a full writeup on this trip when I'm fully recuperated from resting.

I personally enjoyed certain moments on this trip and some not so which I would probably share a little more in the full writeup later but for now, I'll just tease you guys with a few photos on this trip while I share my weekly multivitamins with you guys.

The Malaysian Team arriving first at the resort

During the trip, I was able to finally put some faces to the names I worked with over the past few months. As we go on conference calls daily with one another to update one another about the ongoing projects, not all of our PCs have a webcam. Thus, not being able to visualize how everyone looked like in the Singapore Team. I was glad that I was able to have a quick chat with some of them and really bonded at some level. But you know how these annual trips usually go... your seats start getting warm and you already have to bid farewell to one another.

Morning at the resort

I had some good moments actually bonding with some of my colleagues which I don't usually hang out with during office hours and it was really nice to get to know them a little more. A few of them started to open up which I really appreciate. Not everyone can open up because that means putting a certain level of trust in someone to do it.

I wouldn't want to spoil so much before I get the full writeup out so I would just say that overall, my whole career life in my company has been pretty fruitful up till today. I've made new friends, gotten a promotion, have a new sense of responsibilities and many opportunities to build my own character as a person, mentor, leader, friend.

I personally am still having trouble emotionally but I'm beginning to trust God to help me pull through. Spiritually I have not been grounded yet in any church so I currently am not attending any care groups for my spiritual growth, which is one of my main concerns. So I just kneel and pray daily for God to strengthen my heart and emotions whether for my love life, family issues and many more. May He have His will in my life.

In recent times, I have been clinging tighter to God day by day and I don't know how or where would I be without Him. I'm happy to be where I am now and I still have stuff to figure out (having feelings for someone and family issues) and I really need His directions now more than ever.

On that note, it will be Christmas very soon and I'm already in the Christmas mood! I'm looking forward to the last few days of work and for the long break ahead! I hope you all are having a blessed time yourself as well.

Have a great week ahead!

Thank You

Trust, my friend - that's all you need. The guidance will always be there. It's pretty awesome that your company has a yearly get together of employees from two different countries, but I'm sure it's beneficial to the company for doing it.

On my last job I worked for a company that had employees in several countries, and there were lots of online video conferences at meetings, but you don't really get to know anyone like that. Seems your employer is a good one!

Yea, one of the perks of this company is they have annual retreats for us. It really is good that we can bond with the people we work overseas with. Oo... if it's several countries, I'm sure that'll be harder and take much more effort in planning.

Nice to bring teams together, such a strong motivational point in business, meeting people you interact with daily.

Finding your way, take every day one by one, remember the bad of yesterday, and make sure it doesn't repeat itself today. Tomorrow is promised to nobody, make today count in the moment.

So great to see that you are clinging to God for direction my friend. He will certainly lead you and show you the way.
The one thing that I learned from face to face meetings with co workers that one has never seen before, is that they never look as one imagined them to look hahaha
I had a meeting scheduled once in a restaurant with a guy and I walked right past him to call another guy by his name; "Rick, is that you", "no" he answered, "I am right behind you"
Enjoy the Christmas season my friend.
Blessings!

HAHAHHAHA, oh yea!!! Some of them really don't exactly look like a Rick, if you know what I mean. And yes, don't know where i'll be without God. He basically molded my entire life and I can see His footprints everywhere.

I find it fascinating when one forms an idea what a stranger looks like based on their voice and it turns out to be the exact opposite Lol.
With God as your foundation you stand on a solid rock my friend.
Blessings!

Hi @zord189. You are lucky to have such a company. It's good to see other team members you never get to see face-to-face and connect with them personally. Now you can put a face to the person on the other end of the conference call or telephone call. I can tell you had a great time at the resort.

My daughter won a company's President Award last year and they sent the winners to Hawaii. Wow, she had the best time connecting with other team members who she never met, except on late night conference calls.

Thanks for sharing your post. Have great day and take care.

Lean into Him and when you are ready, He will let you know. You just need to put your trust in Him.

I love when companies do a retreat! It is hands down one of the best ways for teambuilding and giving eveyone a better understanding of each other. It is the best bang for their buck!

As for Christmas, I do so love this time of year! I hope you are enjoying the season of joy!

Thanks for the tease~ :) Have a great day!

That's true, the waiting is the hard part you know.

True, right now I can see that everyone is more comfortable having video calls with each other for discussions. Just had a meeting just now and it was definitely more comfortable.

Thanks for the tip again!
