Phillies struggle big time in yesterday's loss vs Mets, big third game tonight

Life has been such utter dog crap for me lately, and when times are like this I'm so glad there's sports man. NBA Finals Game 7 tonight along with this Game 3 of the Phillies-Mets series. Pretty special times indeed from a sports perspective.

The Phillies got whooped pretty good yesterday though unfortunately, but the boys whooped them pretty good Friday so, I guess both teams are even. The Mets hit SEVEN solo home runs yesterday on their way to beating the Phillies 11-4. Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto went yard twice. Rookie starting pitcher Mick Abel struggled pretty badly yesterday, and the bullpen didn't do much better. Pretty tough watch. Just like that, the Mets and Phillies are tied for first in the NL East all over again at 46-31.

Luzardo is on the mound tonight for the Phillies and he's been somewhat shaky lately. His once stellar ERA is now at a pretty meh 4.41. The boys REALLY need a good outing from him tonight. The Phils will be batting against respectable Mets pitcher David Peterson.

The competition remains stiff for the Phillies after tonight's series. They have matchups against the Astros, Braves, and Padres up next so, hopefully they can finish this series strong and lock in even more going forward.
