Ice cream for children, beer for adults))) And Iโ€™m very interested in reading about the boycott.

That's the idea, I hope. Or ice cream for the person who drives you to the shop.
The boycott is an extremely touchy issue and I'm still thinking how much of a history lesson it needs to understand. It goes back to either 1965 or for a full understanding, the 1880s.

Howdy sir abitcoinskeptic! I haven't even heard of steem-roller. But those beers look really good!

I've started going for higher quality beers as I drink less and less.
The steem casinos are definitely not for everyone. I just enjoy chatting with a few of the regulars there.

Howdy tonight sir abitcoinskeptic! Did you used to drink alot? Most of us did until we hit our 40's and then it's so easy to pack on the weight!

I definitely drank more than I do now. I guess I'm slowing down. I prefer it to a cliff. However, I definitely see how it affects the waistline more and more as I age. I used to be able to go to a buffet once a week without issue. Now I just tell people no when they ask and would never consider large sized orders anymore. It's more quality over quantity I guess. Glad I have that luxury.

The 7 Brau looks really nice, what are you going to do, as you have tasted all the Korean Beers, or are you going to start on the Japanese ones? Here is a nice !BEER for you to help you think about your dilemma!! LOL.

I've had all the Korean beers at that shop. There are a lot more craft ones to try that I can pick up at the large supermarkets. Right now, Koreans aren't buying Japanese beer because of political issues. Besides, I've tried all the main Japanese beers.

wow, life in Korea looks cool! i love the concept of the lotto only store!

i'm not a beer drinker but those all look so cool.

The lotto shops are great. They even have machines that help you choose your lucky numbers and people are sitting in the corner doing calculations to try and improve their picks, lol. I think they are mostly looking at sports and horses though, but you get the odd person trying to figure out the lotto.

Lotto and beer sounds like a plan, travel and buy more beer lol. Hope you hit that jackpot one of these days and you could buy us a round haha. Cheers!

Never tried Korean beer to my knowledge, but I have tried Thai beer: Chang, Leo

I guess more people visit Thailand on vacation and bring it back. None of the generic Korean beers are particularly good. Korea has a newish craft beer scene that is growing quickly and they travel in US and Europe a lot so this will eventually help.

Sounds like a nice Friday evening. Hope you have luck with the lottery. I['ve bought a tickets a couple of times but with no luck. I agree politics and beer don't go together....best to just enjoy a quiet Friday evening dreaming about winning the lottery :)

Sadly, I didn't win this time.
Beer and politics definitely don't mix. Although in the 1920s and 1930s it used to (I guess there were big problems back then).

I am not the world's biggest beer drinker, I am a wino by trade. LOL

But, I absolutely love @beerstaruday and the descriptive writings that go with it!

Wine is great too. I like dry reds like merlot or cab-sav, but Korea does not have the best wine market.

Maybe we need an alliance and just have Alcohol Saturdays or make a sister token.

Are those ginseng roots ?
Looks really expensive

Yes, each bottle has around 4 to 5 large 5/6 years roots. They cost around $10~12 per 100g here or ~ $25~30 for the bottle and then the soju is another $5. Actually, it's not possible to buy anything with roots that large in the shop.

I don't believe I've ever had a Korean beer, but now after reading this, I'm going to be on the lookout for some - seems like it would be interesting to try.

I've seen the beer token floating around, and I think it's a wicked cool & fun thing (just like the Cookie token and such).

Best of luck with the translation!

Thanks. I managed to do a translation and it was picked up by a few members of the intended audience so I'm happy with the results. Also, we reached our goal of 2000 Steem which is hilarious because we are just doing it for beer. I guess people like what interests them. Also, 2000 Steem can't even by that many real beers with the low price of Steem these days.

The generic Korean beers which would be widely available and sold abroad aren't that good. But if you manage to find more traditional Korean alcohol, like rice wines, definitely give that a try.

Too funny! And while that's true, just think of how many beers you'll be able to buy when Steem moon!

And thanks for the info - I'll keep that in mind next time I'm taking a peek at the local packie! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Getting rich from virtual beer tokens would be even better. Quite the random story.

Mmmm beeeeer. lol! I love trying out new beers. I work at a minor league baseball stadium so we always have beer companies coming to give us free samples in hopes that we'll start selling their products. And my boss doesn't drink very much so he usually gives them to me to try out! It's a nice job perk.

Working at a minor league baseball stadium sounds like a lot of fun. Promotional beers would be great especially if the boss is just giving them away to his employees. I had a few part time jobs awhile ago where promotions like that were common. It's great.

Beer looks good. I tried some craft wheat beer and thought it had a pleasant taste.

I haven't had a float for ages. A float with real beer would be nasty. Actually, I've seen it advertised at a few bars around here. People are weird.

Great post. I like beer. There should be more posts on it. Just curious, don't you think so many tokens takes attention away from STEEM and devalues the currency?

There should definitely be more posts on beer. Hopefully, the token encourages it.
I agree tokens take away from the value of steem, but we need to analyze the effect of each token individually.

  • The general tokens (can tag anything) compete and are just plain bad for the price of Steem. I see these as a protest or potential spin off like BCH vs BTC.
  • The creative tokens have a balance between artist and curator, curator is essentially paying and artist is draining value. However, if content is good it will attract users. I see this as neutral.
  • The game tokens or tribes with niche tags attract users and are in general neutral. Don't confuse these with very general tags like 'life' or 'blog' those are more draining.
  • The purely fun tokens add to steem. I see beer as this. Beer isn't really an investment, it's a tipping mechanism similar to tipu except it is also a niche tribe. Abusing the beer token will appear extremely obvious and the single purpose is to tip beers.

Thank you. Actually, I try to drink less beer. It's just there are so many delicious ones to try. I used to play pool a lot, now I prefer machine darts like cricket and 501.

Thanks. Both of those beers were great and I've been drinking too many cans lately so bottles are a nice change.

Personally I don't like beer in a can, always buy a bottled beer, then don't take photo's since I drink straight out of the bottle, it is in glass.... LOL pedantic habits die hard!

I also can't stand drinking from cans and usually pour them into an ice cold mug

Out of a can, ice cold mug is the only way to drink beer, I learned the lesson the hard way via my oldest brother!

Always have a couple of beer mugs in the fridge door, just in case.
