It's getting to be that time of year! It seems like we just planted our garden and now we're counting down the days before putting it to sleep for the season.

It's pretty small, but we did get a watermelon from the garden!

It was small, but sweet. We all got to try a bite. It was good!

Our little gardener got the first taste and she was very approving.

Not like the store bought watermelons at all. Very juicy, lighter color and lots of dark and crunchy seeds.

We have a few more growing, so we look forward to some more yummy home-grown watermelons.
