My Favorite Smells

What is life without the sense of smell? Technically no disability is manageable or preferable, all things work together for good and every part that makes up our entire being or system is very important.
I get very disturbed and worried every time I develop cold and catarrh and in the process, I lose my sense of smell.
I become so worked up and unnecessarily restless. The same goes for the sense of taste. Whenever my taste buds go sour I can't tell if a meal is good or not or if it's bitter or tasty, it pisses me off and makes me lose my appetite almost immediately after I start eating.

Speaking of one's sense of smell, the ladies of Hive has given us the leverage to share with them, our three favorite smells.
I don't know why it is just three when we have tons of lovely things to perceive.
But all the same, let's get to my list of favorites or top favorites.

PETRICHOR

Yes, you are very free to look at me once again to be sure I am not crazy 😂 or just acting like a psycho. You know that smell of earth clay when it rains? It's heavenly for me😂 at this point please just laugh out loud. How on earth does dust-like smell like heaven? Well, question my sense organs, not me.
The first rain that falls after a long period of summer awakens the earth from its resting place and gives rise to the killing smell of clay.
If you have never perceived this then maybe you should start sniffing the earth whenever it rains especially in the dry regions.

BABIES

One of the major reasons why I love babies is because of their scent. I hold them very close to my nose each time I carry them and most times I unconsciously sniff their skin😂 (speaking of that, I just remember I did the exact thing today in church when I carried one of our little ones😂)
I love the smell of babies, especially when they are just being powdered. I loved bathing my baby cousins back then because I will get a chance to powder them myself and of course sniff them😂

JASMINE

I didn't exactly mention flowers because it's not all kinds of flowers but jasmine to be precise. People say the rose flower scent is good as well but nothing beats jasmine's flower for me. I can sniff them all day without getting tired. Whenever the little jasmine plant we have at home blossoms, I am always the first to sniff them even before the petals spray out to form a complete flower.
Funnily enough, this particular jasmine flower at our home scents even while it withers away. Such powerful scent it has!

I could go on with the list cause as I said earlier, there are lots of lovely things our nose perceive, and picking one over the other is a bit difficult but for the purpose of this contest, I leave you guys with those three as answers to one of the questions in the contest post.

Thanks to Ladies of Hive for creating this opportunity for us to share our likes and which we consider our favorite in the aspect of smell.
Glad to also share mine with you guys and it is awesome to take part in the Ladies of Hive contest after such a long time.

And to bring this to a conclusion, I invite @evegrace and glotokens to send in their entries as well.

Still your baby girl ;)

To my faithful readers and wonderful sponsors, my heart goes out to you guys. Thank you for making my journey here a fun-filled and exciting one. Thanks for trusting and supporting my work too. I pray that God bless you all real good :)

Oh! Lovely photos and a great selection of wonderful smells.. I love the word PETRICHOR
It hasn't been that long ago that I learned that there was a word for that marvelous smell.
And Jasmine! That is so heavenly. I should research and see if I can grow it in a pot on my deck. Thanks for entering the Ladies of Hive contest.

I drive by orange groves on a regular basis, and at times they are powerfully intoxicating - right up there with jasmine, gardenia and honeysuckle. Orange blossoms! Add your rain related aromas to that and breathe it in deep! Also, cats smell like perfume. Except the breath.

Oh really? You are the second person mentioning orange blossoms. I should really check it out lol.
Cats smell? I guess I haven't really been close to cats to know what they smell like

Haha, I trust you to come with a smell like petrichor! 😄 Hehe, I get what you mean. We love that first scent of rain on dry soil because it's beautiful and makes us look forward to more rains to cool the earth.

Jasmine and baby scents are also wonderful! Lovely choices. 😊
