Has It Gotten To This?...

Has it gotten to this? What a statement!
What you get when you aren't pleasing someone or when their expectations are being cut off.
A few days @blezyn made an article talking about debts and the debtors

Is is the debt or the debtor

And it's sad because 80% of what she said is true and I couldn't help but write about this as well.
I am pained when debtors pick a fight simply because they can't pay back their debts.
Its disheartening and such actions can make one promise or vow not to render help where or when necessary again.

It is said that one bad experience can change anyone if care isn't taken.
Some situations can cause people to change their hearts about certain things.
Especially in the case of rendering help in one way or the other whether in cash or kind.
I have been a victim of debtors picking a fight/argument simply because I demanded my money back.
The saddest one among them all is one that happened with a friend four to five months ago I guess.

My Story

Five months ago, I had this friend who reached out to me to help her out with cash. I never had the money, and I felt really bad that for the first time she was asking me for help, I couldn't render it. Though it was painful and sad but I had to tell her the truth that I don't have the money.
She said it was okay if I didn't have it. She said she was going to get it from another source.

After a few weeks or months, I guess. The same friend came to me again asking for yet another help also money-related. This time I had a few bucks to spare. And immediately she mentioned it, I asked for her account details and sent the money to her. The joy of being able to help someone is premium.
At that time I was so glad that I didn't turn her down the second time but I was able to render the help.
She gave me a date she was going to return the money and I was okay with it.

In the coming weeks, I didn't hear or see anything forthcoming. I didn't call her or bother her about it. Days passed and weekends passed, still nothing from her. I patiently waited till a month and still nothing from her. On a normal day, I wouldn't have asked her until she was ready to freely give back the money she borrowed but then I had a dying need and I needed the cash as soon as possible.

I called this friend to ask for the money and she told me she was going to send me in a few hours. I waited but there was still nothing coming from her, so I called her again but she wasn't picking my calls either returning the calls. At this point, I was frustrated and angry at the same time.
I mean this was someone desperate for help and immediately I rendered the help but she couldn't do the same when I needed it. I was sad and I was disappointed, I had to look for other means to solve the issues I had with money.

And even after that day, she couldn't call or do anything about it. Days passed and I decided to ask her about it again, I was mad that I ranted but to an extend. And could you imagine what she said to me?

Has it gotten to this?...

Has it gotten to what? For crying out loud who would be happy about such a thing? Who would smile and shine teeth about such a disheartening incident?
She said she was going to refund my money, I didn't disturb myself about it again and since then until now she hasn't been able to refund all my money and I promised myself I wasn't going to ask her about it anymore and I have kept to that promise till this day.
I just pray I still find the courage to lend people money although I have had many bad experiences with it.

They say one bad experience should make us bad or have a change of heart but honestly that experience changed my thinking about lending people money and not just that experience. There are many more I don't wanna mention or talk about.
All I can say is that I have learned my lesson and I will not do anything to please any one or exonerate myself from being the bad girl for not helping.

Happy Lord's Day readers and supporters!
I trust you guys are having a great day so far. I wish you all a very bless new week.

It's so sad when people act like this. I have always been of the opinion that if you can't pay back when you promised, you should have the decency to call the person who helped you and give a meaningful explanation as to what is causing the delay, it's not that hard.

Some people think if you lend them some money you shouldn't ask for it back, I mean if you told me to give you the money without a promise of paying it back, I'll part will only what I can afford but people just want to force it on you.

I lent someone some money last year because he said he needed for his business and I felt that was important, it got to the time for payment and he was asking me to choose how he will split the money in a very arrogant manner😂😂 you'll think I'm begging him for what I gave to him.

See ehn when it comes to the issue of borrowing, only part with what you are comfortable losing before it turn something else
