Indian beats Derbyshire by 7 wickets in 1st T20 Warm-up Match.

The 1st T20 Warm-up Match of the India tour of England 2022 was played yesterday at County Ground, Derby, in which Indians beat Derbyshire by 7 wickets.

Indians won the toss and invited Derbyshire to bat first, Derbyshire batted first, and started the inning very badly, Wayne Madsen scored 28 runs in 23 balls, Hilton Cartwright 27 runs in 24 balls, Alex Hughes 24 runs in 17 balls, Brooke Guest 23 runs in 25 balls, Mattie McKiernan remains unbeaten for 16 runs in just 8 balls, apart from this no batsman could play well, Shan Masood dismissed just for 8 runs, Leus du Plooy 9 runs, Mark Watt 3 runs, Ben Aitchison remains unbeaten for 4 runs, and Luis Reece dismissed just for 1 run. In this way, Derbyshire scored 150 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs and set a target of 151 runs in front of Indians.

Indians' bowlers performed very brilliantly, Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for 29 runs, Umran Malik took 2 wickets for 31 runs, Axar Patel and Venkatesh Iyer got 1-1 wicket.

Indians chasing 151 runs in the second inning, achived the target very easily by losing just 3 wickets in fourth ball of the 17th overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Indians started the inning very well, althougth the first wicket has gone very quickly, Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad came to start the inning, the first wicket has gone very quickly just for 5 runs in last ball of the first over, Ruturaj Gaikwad dismissed just for 3 runs in 4 balls, next batsman Deepak Hooda came to bat handled the inning and played a very brilliant half-century partnership of 51 runs with Sanju Samson, the second wicket has gone for 56 runs in 7.4 over, Sanju Samson dismissed after playing a very brilliant inning of 38 runs with the help of 1 six and 4 boundaries in just 30 balls, next batsman Suryakumar Yadav came to bat handled the inning and played a very brilliant half-century partnership of 78 runs with Deepak Hooda, the third wicket has gone for 134 runs in 14.4 over, Deepak Hooda dismissed after playing a very brilliant half-century inning of 59 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 5 boundaries in just 37 balls, followed by Dinesh Karthik came to bat and he remians unbeaten for 7 runs with Suryakumar Yadav, and Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant victory inning of 36 runs with the help of 1 six and 4 boundaries in just 22 balls. In this way, Indians chased the target very easily by losing just 3 wickets in 16.4 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.

Derbyshire's bowlers Ben Aitchison took 2 wickets for 30 runs, and Mattie McKiernan got 1 wicket for 20 runs.
