The 2nd T20I Match of the England tour of Bangladesh, 2023 was played today at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. In which Bangladesh beats England by 4 wickets to seal the series by 2-0.
Bangladesh won the toss and invited England to bat first, England batted first, and started the inning not very well, the entire team was dismissed just for 117 runs in the final ball of the inning. Ben Duckett scored 28 runs in 28 balls, Philip Salt 25 runs in 19 balls, Moeen 15 runs in 17 balls, Sam Curran 12 runs in 16 balls, Rehan Ahmed 11 runs in 11 balls, apart from this no batsman could touch figure out of 10 runs, Dawid Malan dismissed just for 5 runs, Jos Buttler 4 runs, Chris Jordan 3 runs, Adil Rashid 1 run, Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer dismissed without scoring, and Adil Rashid remains unbeaten for 1 run. In this way, England scored just 117 runs after losing all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and set an easy target of 118 runs in front of Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi bowler Mehidy Hasan Miraz performed very brilliant bowling took 4 wickets just for 12 runs, Mustafizur Rahman 1 wicket for 19 runs, Taskin Ahmed 1 wicket for 27 runs, Shakib Al Hasan 1 wicket for 13 runs in his spell, and Hasan Mahmud 1 wicket just for 10 runs in 2 overs.
Bangladesh chasing 118 runs in the second inning, achieved the target very easly by losing just 6 wickets in the fifth ball of the 19 over. Bangladesh also started the inning not very well, but the target was easy so, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy and Mehidy Hasan Miraz handled the inning and chased the target. Litton Das and Rony Talukdar was came to start the inning, the first wicket has gone for 16 runs in 2.3 over, Litton Das dismissed just for 9 runs in 9 balls, next batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto came to bat, after a while the second wicket has gone for 27 runs in first ball of the 6th over, Rony Talukdar dismissed just for 9 runs in 14 balls, followed by Towhid Hridoy came to bat and handled the inning with Najmul Hossain Shanto, the third wicket has gone for 56 runs in 10.2 over, Towhid Hridoy dismissed after scoring 17 runs in 18 balls, next batsman Mehidy Hasan Miraz came to bat and handled the inning with Najmul Hossain Shanto, the fourth wicket has gone for 97 runs in 15.4 over, Mehidy Hasan Miraz dismissed after scoring 20 runs in 16 balls, followed by Shakib Al Hasan came to bat and he dismissed without scoring in just 3 balls as fifth wicket in 16.4 over, the team score was 100 runs, next batsman Afif Hossain came to bat and he also dismissed very quickly just for 2 runs in 3 balls as sixth wicket in 17.5 over, the team score was 105 runs, next batsman Taskin Ahmed came to bat and he remains unbeaten for 8 runs in 3 balls with Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Najmul Hossain Shanto played a very brilliant unbeaten victory inning of 46 runs with the help of 3 boundaires in 47 balls. In this way, Bangladesh chased the target very easily losing just 6 wickets in just 18.5 overs and won the match by 4 wickets, and with this victory also sealed the series by 2-0.
English bowlers Jofra Archer performed very brilliant bowling, he took 3 wickets just for 13 runs, Moeen Ali 1 wicket for 25 runs, Rehan Ahmed 1 wicket for 11 runs in 2 overs, and Sam Curran 1 wicket for 15 runs in 3 overs.
Bangladeshi bowler Mehidy Hasan Miraz was selected as the best player of the match, he performed very brilliant bowling as well as also constitute from the bat, took 4 wickets just for 12 runs in his spell, and scored 20 runs in 16 balls.
