The 3rd and last ODI Match of the Bangladesh tour of New Zealand, 2023 was played yesterday at McLean Park, Napier. In which Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 9 wickets. The series result New Zealand won the series by 2-1.
TOSS- Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl
New Zealand Innings- New Zealand batted first started the inning very poorly, the entire team was dismissed just for 98 runs in the fourth ball of the 32nd over. Will Young scored 26 runs in 43 balls, Tom Latham 21 runs in 34 balls, Josh Clarkson 16 runs in 23 balls, Adithya Ashok 10 runs in 12 balls, apart from this, Rachin Ravindra dismissed just for 8 runs in 12 balls, Henry Nicholls 1 run in 12 balls, Tom Blundell 4 runs in 17 balls, Mark Chapman 2 runs in 8 balls, Adam Milne 4 runs in 20 balls, William ORourke 1 run in 5 balls, and Jacob Duffy remains unbeaten for 1 run in 4 balls. In this way, the entire team dismissed just for 98 runs in 31.4 overs and set a small target of 99 runs in front of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh bowlers- Bangladeshi bowlers performed very brilliant bowling, Tanzim Hasan Sakib took 3 wickets just for 14 runs in 7 overs, Soumya Sarkar 3 wickets just for 18 runs in 6 overs, Shoriful Islam 3 wickets just for 22 runs in 7 overs, Mustafizur Rahman 1 wicket for 36 runs in 7.4 overs, Rishad Hossain was wicketless for 4 runs in 3 overs, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz also wicketless for 3 runs in 1 over.
Bangladesh inning- Bangladesh chasing 99 runs in the second inning achieved the target very easily for losing just 1 wicket in just first ball of the 16th over and won the match by 9 wickets. Bangladesh started the inning very strongly, Soumya Sarkar and Anamul Haque came to start the inning and gave a good start, Soumya Sarkar retired hurt due to injury, and next batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto came to bat and handled the inning with Anamul Haque, the first wicket has dismissed for 84 runs in last ball of the 13th over, Anamul Haque dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 37 runs with the help of 7 boundaries in just 33 balls, followed by Litton Das came to bat and he remained unbeaten for 1 run in 2 balls with Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Najmul Hossain Shanto played a very brilliant unbeaten half-century and a victory inning of 51 runs with the help of 8 boundaries in just 42 balls. In this way, Bangladesh chased the target very easily for losing just 1 wicket in 15.1 overs, and won the match by 9 wickets.
New Zealand bowlers- William ORourke got 1 wicket for 33 runs in 4 overs, apart from this all bowlers are wicketless, Adam Milne was wicketless for 18 runs in 4 overs, Jacob Duffy was wicketless for 27 runs in 5 overs, Josh Clarkson was wicketless for 19 runs in 2 overs, and Adithya Ashok also wicketless for 2 runs in 0.1 over.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH- Bangladeshi bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib was selected as the player of the match, he performed very brilliant bowling took 3 wickets just for 14 runs in 7 overs.
PLAYER OF THE SERIES- New Zealand's batsman Will Young was selected as player of the series, he performed very brilliant batting in the entire series, scored 105 runs in the 1st ODI match, 89 runs in the 2nd ODI match and 26 runs in final ODI match.
