The 9th Match of the Big Bash League 2022-23 was played today between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. In which Adelaide Strikers wins over Sydney Thunder by 6 wickets.

Sydney Thunder batted first after winning the toss, and started the inning very well, Alex Hales and Matthew Gilkes came to start the inning and gave a good start, the first wicket has gone for 39 runs in 4.3 overs, Matthew Gilkes was dismissed just for 3 runs in 7 balls, next batsman Rilee Rossouw came to bat, and he good strike rotate with Alex Hales, the second wicket has gone for 64 runs in 8.2 over, Rilee Rossouw was dismissed after scoring 14 runs in 13 balls, followed by Oliver Davies came to bat handled the inning, and played a very brilliant half-century partnership of 63 runs for the third wicket with Alex Hales, the third wicket has gone for 127 runs in the last ball of the 16th over, Alex Hales dismissed after playing brilliant half-century inning of 68 runs with the help 3 sixes and 6 boundaries in 50 balls, next batsman Daniel Sams came to bat, after few moments the fourth wicket has also gone for 136 runs in 17.4 over, Oliver Davies dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 42 runs with the help of 1 six and 2 boundaries in just 30 balls, next batsman Alex Ross came to bat, meanwhile the fifth wicket has also gone for 140 runs in 18.3 over, Daniel Sams dismissed for 8 runs in 10 balls, next batsman Nathan McAndrew came to bat and he remains unbeaten for 3 runs with Alex Ross, and Alex Ross also remains unbeaten for 8 runs. In this way, Sydney Thunder scored 150 runs after losing 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and set a target of 151 runs for Adelaide Strikers.

Adelaide Strikers chasing 151 runs in the second inning archived the taget very easily by losing just 4 wickets in fourth ball of the 19th overs, Adelaide Strikers started the inning very brilliantly, althought the first wicket has gone very quickly, Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short came to start the inning, the first wicket has gone very quickly just for 9 runs in first ball of the 3rd over, Jake Weatherald dismissed just for 7 runs, next batsman Chris Lynn came to bat handled the inning and played a very brilliant half-century parntership of 83 runs with Matthew Short, the second wicket has gone for 92 runs in 11.2 over, Chris Lynn dismissed after scoring 28 runs in 26 balls, next batsman Adam Hose came to bat and played well with Matthew Short, the third wicket has gone for 110 runs in 14.3 over, Matthew Short dismissed after playing a very brilliant half-century inning of 65 runs witht he help of 5 sixes and 3 boundaires in just 44 balls, followed by Colin de Grandhomme came to bat and played well with Adam Hose, the fourth wicket has gone for 142 runs in 17.5 over, Colin de Grandhomme dismissed for 12 runs in 11 balls, next batsman Thomas Kelly came to bat and he remains unbeaten for 2 runs with Adam Hose, and Adam Hose played a very brilliant unbeaten victory inning of 28 runs with the help of 4 boudaries in just 20 balls. In this way, Adam Hose chased the target very easily losing just 4 wickets in 18.4 overs, and won the match by 6 wickets.

Sydney Thunder bowler Nathan McAndrew took 2 wickets for 25 runs, and Gurinder Sandhu got 1 wicket.

Adelaide Strikers batsman Matthew Short was selected as the best player of the match, he played a very brilliant half-century inning of 65 runs with the help of 5 sixes and 3 boundaries in just 44 balls.
