| When Darynka and I arrived in Yavoriv on Saturday, the old woman, who lives across the fence, was also visited by her grandchildren - twin boys. Darynka loved to play with them when she was here in the summer. However, this time she hurried to the house because she got her feet wet due to carelessness during the walk. But I lingered outside for a while, then saw the boys catch something. I decided to ask what they came across there. It turned out to be Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa L - an amazing insect that is able to dig long tunnels underground, almost like a mole, it also swims and flies well and has a bizarre appearance. And it is a terrible pest and enemy of all garden crops, because it digs its tunnels in order to get as close as possible and imperceptibly to the roots of plants. I asked the boys for permission to take a picture of their find. And then my wife and I treated them to a delicious homemade pizza that we cooked that day 😊. | В суботу, коли я з Даринкою приїхав до Яворова, до старшої жінки, яка живе через паркан, також приїхали в гості її внуки, хлопці-близнюки. Даринка любила з ними гратися, коли бувала тут влітку. Проте цього разу вона поспішила до хати, бо під час прогулянки через необережність замочила ноги. А я трохи затримався надворі, то ж побачив як хлопчаки щось спіймали. Я вирішив поцікавитися, на що вони там натрапили. Виявилося, що це ведмедка - дивовижна комаха, яка здатна рити під землею довжелезні тунелі, майже як кріт, також вона чудово плаває і літає та має химерний вигляд. А ще вона страшний шкідник і ворог всіх городніх культур, бо свої тунелі вона риє для того, щоб якнайближче та непомітно підібратися до коренів рослин. Я попросив у хлопців дозволу сфотографувати їхню знахідку. А потім я моя дружина пригостила їх смачною домашньою піцою, яку ми готували того дня 😊. |
