Piercing Pain.

I got to see, literally, for the first time how pepper spray is used. Trust me, I wish I found out another way.

I was going about my normal day trying to get back home as soon as possible and this pretty lady flagged down the tricycle I was in. She entered and the journey continued. Few minutes later, another passenger, a guy, joined us.

We all sat peacefully until the guy started feeling uncomfortable for no reason. He started shifting on the seat and just like the speed of light, the lady grew paranoid.

She told the tricycle driver that he wanted to alight but he was in the speed lane and couldn't stop so easily.

She started fidgeting and screaming. The other passenger who was feeling uncomfortable had to stop and watch this drama.

Eventually, because of the lady's screams, the driver parked and told her to alight. She slowly stepped down and acted as if she wanted to remove money for the driver and boom she started sprang this stuff all over.

I, who was sitting down quietly in the tricycle like I always do, got affected too. The thing she was spraying entered my eyes and that was it. I screamed my guts out. It felt like I should remove my eyes and wash in water but no, we were not close to any source of water.

I was crying seriously on the road before some passersby stopped and offered to help.

After some time, everything died down. The two guys and I entered the tricycle and the journey continued.

The guys were talking about how they'd deal with her if they ever saw her again.

I seemed to understand her a bit because, in this part of the world, raping,robbery,kidnapping happens frequently. I could say she was being security conscious because she probably had been in such a situation before but pepper spray?! In my innocent eyes!?

That move was totally uncalled for. Hell! I don't even look scary. Did she think I was an alibi? Oh well, that was her own issue to handle. But mehnn, my eyes really hurt that day.
