Splinterland Leaderboard: The Frustration Within

The Splinterland seasonal leaderboard is one section you cant do without checking everyday to keep track of your progress for that season, most times when i check, there is this smile/laughter that do build up in me, you know seeing players battling their way up the leaderboard and trying their possible best to keep their position intact till the season end which most times is not easy to keep. Apart from the daily grinding and earning dec, The leaderboard is the next focus because of the juicy prizes attached to it.

But to be frank, being on the leaderboard is one of the hardest step to take as a player because you will have to battle your way up with lot of strategy because you must be familiar with what to play when given a certain mana cap and rule, you must be able to think wide and take an imagination peak or assume what your opponent might play and how you either counter your opponent cards and be the last survivor. The last man standing in battle is the winner in this aspect. Let take a look at the leaderboard.

Currently, we have 5 leaderboard in total, each league have their requirements, summoner caps and also the positions required with their rewards, back then things werent this hard maybe because we dont really have tough players eyeing the leaderboard but were just there to grind and enjoy the game but now it is the strong player position and really competitive. Gone were the days when they use packs as leaderboard rewards, but now it was changed to dec token instead.

The main frustration happen when you manage to win some battles and build your rating to some top point and you start receiving 5-10 rating per win and you get to lose 20-30 rating anytime someone with lower rating defeat you, any time i experience this, i will just move up to the next league and keep grinding especially during day 14 but there are ways to stay at the top, You can always check the Top Battle section to see how high rating players use in battle (if you have the cards thou), through that you can learn a lot and have more knowledge on what to choose during your battle. I do notice some use strong cards with good speed, this will always give you more advantage in such battle.
