The Higher, the Hotter: Raboner League 2 Experience

Once, science taught that "the higher you go, the cooler it becomes" but that doesn't hold valid for achieving goals and succeeding in live. Few days I had celebrated my successful promotion to League 2 on Rabona game after winning the lower league and finishing strong with over 70 points and only two losses out of 30 matches. Here in the higher league, it's not been fun as usual.

The first match started well and the team looked happier and motivated, yet, stronger teams emerged to give FC Creativians the beatings of their life. So far, the team has suffered 5 defeats and 2 draws out of 14 games. Just 1 match to the mid-season, we're struggling to stay at the 7th position and lagging with 9 points , 17 goals from the lead team.

The suspense gets heightened at this point with a call to responsibility. There are about 4 teams just above my team in the league table with high competition for who comes near the 4th position. This places my team at the advantaged position to end at somewhere among the top 5 teams in this tournament.

One thing that is very fascinating is that despite the team more losses, our fan base has continued to grow at a faster rate with the few wins. With a little above 120k fans put together, the team has more advantage of generating more revenue in terms of ticketing and fan product sales.

I am very hopeful to reach the 1 million fan base mark as I qualify into league 1. I know that would require a lot of work and some more cash to retain this team that has been so helpful, though their salaries would be increasing as much as by 30% in the next season.

Seeing a team like Sportsgeek04 doing well with an average player salary of over 5k per match gives me hope that we can thrive.

Let's hope for the best in our coming matches.
