My Video Game Experience

Ever since I got a mid-range laptop, my gaming journey took a new turn of experience. I was able to play some popular video games I used to fantasise about, especially the ones I coincidentally stumbled upon on youtube and on Instagram. Later on, I got a PS4 console all thanks to the financial breakthrough from the recent bull-run which saw btc and some top alt coins reach a new all time high: I was able to capitalise on some of the opportunities that came my way outside hive.

My PC specs:
LENOVO IDEAPAD L340 17IRH INTEL CORE i7-9750H 6 CORES 12 THREADS, GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 VRAM, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM, 17" FHD DISPLAY.

The first action video game I ever played either on my pc or console was Assassin creed's origin. I think this was the game that affected my genre of action games. Followed by sekiro: regarding sekiro, I played this game repeatedly even after completing the storyline because I could relate with how heart-wrenching the game ending was and what the creator of the game built. It was amazing. It won the game of the year in 2019. That's to tell you how badass the game is.

Also, during my adolescent phase, as a young boy who fantasised playing video games, my special genre or type of video games were action games with melee weapons. Melee weapons like axe, sword, knife, spear, arrow, shield. Any other action game that involved the use of guns never excited me no matter the hype around the game. I just don't know why I dislike any video game that involves the use of guns. No matter how famous or viral the game is, I just won't be interested in wanting to play it.

The next action video game I played was ghost of tsushima. Damn, I've never seen a game make a grown man cry. I cried while playing this game when I got to the story of "redeeming the people of Yarikawa from the siege and attack of the Mongols army" - what a masterpiece. This game was exceptional to me, the game had some simulation of combat moves from the assassin creed franchise but theirs was better and spiced up. it's a pity it didn't win the game of the year in 2020.

I didn't stop there, I kept searching for the next action game to play that uses melee weapons as their combat mechanism and I found "The Last of Us" franchise. The Last of Us is that kind of video game that was apocalyptic in nature and required surviving by all means no matter the odds. It involved the use of guns but still it had other melee weapon options in inventory like shivs, bottles, brick, arrow, cutlass, crossbar, cutter, plank. This game was emotional to me after a character that grew on me died in the sequel of the game. This was the only game I had an exception for regarding using a gun.

Again, I didn't stop there, I kept searching for the next interesting action video game to play and I found horizon forbidden west. My God! Aloy was exceptional with her gears at max level but at the beginning of the game it was quite a challenge to me given the uniqueness of the combat system. It had a touch of sci-fi, infact it's a sci-fi action game. A war against machines. While playing this game I really enjoyed my time deploying different strategies during boss fights from the main story or quest. That euphoria I feel any time I win a challenging boss fight is unexplainable.

After horizon forbidden west, I finally got my hands on the long awaited God of war ragnarok. I love this franchise right from the days of PlayStation 2. I never owned a Ps2 though but I had a childhood friend who did and I enjoyed watching him play. My favourite part of this video game is the violence, the rage, the carnage, the dismemberment, the use of melee weapons and the mythical storyline. Playing the recent sequel; "Ragnarok" was thrilling to me. My favourite boss fights were Valkyrie Gna and the Berserker King, Hrolf Kraki. Every other boss fight in the game was a piece of cake.

To be quite honest I have a list of action games to play on my bucket list but time is of the essence and I can only play them when I am less busy and when (N.E.P.A) power holding company decides to be generous with electricity supply in my community.

That will be all for today. See you in the next post.

Thanks for reading,
Have a splendid day folks.

How long does the laptop batery provides the backup so you can go without power.

The game seems to be emotionally grabbing so it made you cry.

Upgrading the tools makes the experience sophisticated. You seem to have a nice time with your new laptop
