Hi Everyone,

It has been a while since we went up the coast and this was the first time since COVID hit really badly last year. The Entrance was one of the most lively area and is considered the hub of many restaurants, cafes & visited by tourists very often. There was also pelican feeding on the weekends. We were there 2 weeks ago and unfortunately even at around 10 am, the streets were quiet. There were no tourists, cafes were closed and only a few of them were opened. The streets were empty. We were pretty surprised as we expected to have a hard time finding parking but we got a park very quickly.

The pedestrian path once busy with people was empty. It felt like a different suburb, an unfamiliar place and it felt strange. The children's carnival setup seemed to have closed for quite some time as there were plenty of leaves in that area that haven't been cleaned out. There were very limited cafes open that day so we had to pick from a small handful to cater to 12 people. It was quite strange to see this place so quiet, so empty and even Hubby commented how different it used to be. We initially didn't want to go there as we had a big group but now it seemed like it didn't matter.

Although I do like the quietness at the same time think about the local businesses and how they could survive. It isn't easy and I hope that as the world start opening up to each other, we are able to travel out and tourist travel in to live like we used to 2 years ago.

These photographs looks very cool and lovely for the sight. I believe the quietness is temporary. With time everything will return to normal.

Covid has disrupted so many businesses. It maybe some time before things get back to normal.
