Sawadee Kha - A Blast In Bangkok

Hi Everyone,

I've been super busy in Thailand due to my busy schedule (more on that at a later date) but this trip not only is a vacation, but has bought me back to my fangirl self. Haha, many of you have known me since Steem days and what I used to do to see my favourite idol. This time, this experience is very different due to the culture and it was definitely an eye opener.

Going to Thailand from Sydney wasn't cheap, not like it used to pre-covid but we still booked it at $800AUD using Airasia. The first time we flew with them and it wasn't too bad after reading some horror stories. We arrived on time but that was already 10pm at night but there were still plenty of tourists around. Surprisingly, nothing really changed at the airport from 3 years ago as I attended Steemfest in Bangkok. Instead of taking the train to the city, we decided to go by taxi with the kids plus it was too late. But Bangkok taxis haven't changed at all, I still hate them. The drivers are all cunning and it feels like a battle just to get a ride to your destination. My kids were shocked at how I had to bargain/be firm just to get the driver to use the meter or we all get out (with my door already opened when it all happened). I guess that is Thailand after all.

We arrived at our apartment around midnight but we were too hungry and ordered some food from Grab and it was best to get everything delivered to us at 12.30am. Yes, I miss delivery services in Asia, it's the highlight of our stay tbh. After this trip, going to Bangkok will be a totally different meaning for me on top of the exceptional food which we know already from all the previous times we've been there.
