My First Taste of Defi - Cub Finance

I've heard about Defi and read a few articles about it but never took the first step to take part in any of the project. A part of me is because I'm afraid of trying something totally new and the other part of me is the fees that comes with each transaction on the Eth chain. Once the Binance option came along and the LEO team decided to use it, I thought this is the chance to finally get a feel of this whole Defi crazy. Unfortunately I was still asleep when the official post was posted so I was behind with timing plus the fact work was super busy there was no way I could look into it during the day.

After having a chat to a fellow Hive member and thank goodness she was around when I was trying things out, I finally put my first stake in. I decided not to try the pairing as it was my first go with the Binance wallet so I want to start of easy. When I first started, the ROI was a crazy 4000%+. Yep a bit crazy right, so I went to bed hoping to get some nice cubs when I wake up the next day. Cub was worth around $10 at that time.

Woke up and harvest my first ever token. It was a great moment but can see that the ROI has dropped to 2300%+. I signficant drop from a 8 hours ago but it's still good, can't complain at all. Then I decided to up my staking and moved a bit more from Binance and staked it. At that time, CUB was worth around $7.50. I thought the ROI will definately drop as it can never sustain that high but it does pay to start earlier than many others. So far the experience is great, I won't get any airdrop but will slowly accumulate the CUBs and stake them as I go and see how well it can go in the next week or so.
