Happy Valentines ~ Lovely Surprise Received Today ~

Hi Everyone,

The time of the year arrives - Valentines Day. I remember when I was first going out with hubby I remember what he bought me the first, second, third time and then I kind of slowly forgotten. Then eventually, as we grow up, we have most things we need so its hard to find things to buy each other. My hubby loves gadgets but I always end up buying stuff he doesn't need or already have/similar so we normally end up returning it in the end. Same with him, he would buy me a perfume but then I don't like the scent, I probably would want a set of new PJs he probably would have gotten a colour I may not like. So eventually we just end up having a great dinner and then leave it at that.

Funny this year, we both actually done a good job getting each other something. Firstly, he ordered flowers and got them delivered to our place. He has NEVER had flowers delivered to my home or work so when the delivery arrived, I was like we didn't order any flowers, but when they confirmed the address with me, it was actually mine. He didn't put a name on the card so it was sent to "My Valentine". Really I could have argued the flowers could be sent to anyone and not to me but that is a good step of sending me a surprise. Honestly I was genuinely surprised and told our friends this was the first time ever since we have been together.

As from me, he received a Saint Seiya themed monopoly set. My hubby loves anime and one of them he used to watch when he was young was Saint Seiya. I stumbled onto this monopoly last week at a games/model store and I knew this gift will be the one. He was super excited about the set when we received it as it bought back childhood memories. I have to say I was pretty excited about it too as I grew up around siblings watching Saint Seiya too. The best part was it as on sale so I picked up with a bargain price! This monopoly will be an upgrade from the current set which was my old set from primary school - desperately needed an upgrade from that one and this new set just came at the right time. Now the kids are interested to see what is Saint Seiya is about and we are trying to find a version which isn't dubbed in Japanese so can can understand what is going on.
