Hi Everyone,

Japan doesn’t celebrate Chinese New Year so today there was no celebration here. As the first day of the CNY falls on a weekend, naturally everywhere was pretty busy. We decided not to go to any tourist visits to shrines or big sites and went to Akihabara instead to get a few things for the home.

I’ve been on the search for a hair dryer with the ion feature with Australian voltage and finally found it in Tokyo. We haven’t been able to find it anywhere else apart from here, I guess this is the busiest city and there is high demand for it. Unfortunately, I still can’t find the kettle I hoped for as all of the ones I liked don’t support overseas voltage. More on the hair dryer later when we use it back in Australia

After our buys, we saw a small anime exhibition. The boys loved it especially hubby as some of the characters were older than us and he was pretty surprised by the remakes on some of them.

We had a wonderful dinner at a yakiniku restaurant and literally we were stuffed as it was an all-you-can-eat package. Coming home to the view of Tokyo Skytree is the perfect finish for the first day of the Chinese New Year and a good start to another work week tomorrow.
