A Visit To Mindarie Park @ Lane Cove North @ Australia

Hi Everyone,

Since we are still in lockdown, Sydney residents cannot go further than 5km from where they live therefore we try to find small adventures for the little ones to keep everyone happy. We played around our local parks and the boys really need something else to keep them entertained so we have started to look for parks out of the way where we normally don't go but make sure it is within the limited boundary we can travel. It's like a little adventure but each time, we find the boys love our finds and would ask to go back to the new parks. This time we found a park on the end of the 5km distance called Mindarie Park. It is a relatively new park as there are lots of residential building currently built up and it is normally council requirements to have some outdoor area for locals to do some exercise and also a place for kids to let our some of their energy.

There aren't many parks when we arrived but we eventually found free street parking. The weather started to turn so we told the boys they only had an hour before the storm arrives. There are two sections to the play around and the kids started to explore. We have that there is enough seating area for the parents to see their kids from afar but at the same time, it wasn't too busy so it made the visit comfortable. The equipment were very new and the design of the park was very well thought out. There were something for all sorts of ages but parent supervision is required. We only gave 1 hour for our kids to play and it was enough as the park looks like there is a lot to do but the kids do loose interest very quickly.

The council also build some nice public toilets for although we didn't go in to check it out. Normally smaller parks don't have toilets but this one has so it is very convenient when the little ones needed to go to the toilet quickly. Entry is free so you can stay there as long as you want. We did see some grassy area and wandered if anyone will have a picnic there while the kids play, but I think it will get busy if the weather was better. Small tip, avoid the park before and after school as it is very close to the local school and I can imagine how busy it can get during those hours.
