Who Owns the Garland?

A few days ago I was replying to @bitcoinman about why I think there is a wreath of oak leaves on the coin. (https://peakd.com/silvergoldstackers/@trautenberk/european-coins-german-mark. In the comments.) I got to thinking. I've done a lot of thinking. I invented this.

In the top picture you can see the monarchs decorated with laurel wreaths. Who does the laurel wreath belong to? It belongs to the winner! It started at Olympia. The winner of the Olympics was given a laurel wreath. It continued in Rome. The victorious warlord received the triumphant laurel wreath. This continued throughout feudalism. The ruler is the victor.

I'm showing half a dozen 20-cres of various rulers from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Feudalism is over. Money is the winner. The face value of the coin is garlanded. In capitalism, this is clear. However, these coins were valid in communist Czechoslovakia between 1953 and 1989. The idea of communism was glorified by that asterisk over the number. The wreath is tied from lime branches. The linden is the tree of the Slavs.

Switzerland, 5 francs, 1965, 31,45 mm diameter, weight 34,45 g, purity of silver 835/1000. The rest is copper.

Note that the Swiss coat of arms and numeral are decorated with a wreath. I googled what kind of flowers they are. It's an alpine prosthesis. So the fashion of wreaths continues. (The inscription is in Latin. That's a way to not have a coin full of inscriptions when there are four official languages in the country.)

The leaf on Canadian coins has reached a new level. It is not part of the decoration, but the main motif.

However, Silvergoldstacker would certainly like to adorn just the inscription "1 oz of pure silver" with a victory wreath.
