Bavarian coins

Some French commission from the time of the French Revolution stated that in 1789 there were 1789 states in Germany. It's not quite an objective number. The French wanted to prove the advantages of a united state.

However, it is true that Germany was divided into a number of states that minted their own coins. One of those states was Bavaria.

But I don't collect Bavarian coins. With one exception. In the years 1754 - 1866, Bavaria maintained a monetary union with Austria. I collect Austrian coins. So I have Bavarian coins from that time in my collection.

In 1740 - 1745 Charles VII. Wittelsbach was MariaTheresa's worst enemy. Together with the French and Prussian armies, he invaded to her territory. He had himself proclaimed German emperor and Czech king. And he was completely defeated.

Charles´ son Maximilian III. Joseph became Austria's most loyal ally. He created a monetary union with Austria. These are paradoxes.

The first three coins, the tolar, the twenty-kretzer and the ten-kreutzer belong to him. Maximilian was a mere duke. He looked after his subjects with a fatherly care. He died of smallpox and had no direct descendants.

The last coin, the tolar, belongs to Karl Theodor. He was a distant relative of his predecessor and was older than him. He was the last duke. He has no legitimate son either. His successor, Maximilian Joseph, in turn betrayed Austria and joined Napoleon. These are paradoxes... For this he received a royal crown. I don't have any of his coins.

I have other Bavarian coins, but these are definitely the nicest, and I want to show them off.

Naturally but I don't like to spend to much of of premiums I try to stick to smart stacking collecting is fun and if I can do it for cheap I do

Of course. Buying a cheap coin is many times more fun than buying it at a normal price.

The problem is completeness. When you need one coin to have something complete. Then you often pay a premium.

I hear that but I don't care much for that personally my primary goal is getting precious metals the Numismatics is just a bonus I can potentially capitalize on, not to say I never spend money on high premium products but for the most part I stick to the cheap stuff as its part of my smart stacking strategy

Ne, díky. S mou reputací a postavením by mi tohle robotí honění tisíc Hive pravděpodobně spíš uškodilo... Stejně tak i comment farming. Ale ty samozřejmě zkoušej, co je libo. Jak jsme se nedávno shodli, každý si tu jdeme nějakou cestou...
