It was pouring when my friends and I locked ourselves indoors to see a movie. We didn't even notice when it was nightfall because we were having fun indoors. I was hosting a sleepover with them so we cared less about nightfall.

We were just girls in the room and the fun was out of this world. We did our own karaoke challenge in the house and laughed over silly jokes. It wasn't so long after we had late night dinner something strange happened.

There is a small toilet built outside for some kind of visitors and on its roof top a very disturbing noise could be heard. It sounded like something was crawling on the roof and would fall to the ground; it didn't just fall without any sound, it always fell with a loud thud.

The sound would come all of a sudden and stop, the worst of all was that the house was a single apartment, I didn't have close neighbors to think that maybe a neighbor did that. I slowly opened the curtains to see what was on the roof but there was nothing in sight. We all froze when the noise came again, this time we all had our eyes fixed to the roof top but couldn't find anything rolling or anyone around we only heard the sound.

My friends and I couldn't communicate loudly anymore; we had to whisper. They were all scared, including myself. I felt so creeped out and at this point I was grateful I wasn't home alone. Who knows, maybe fear would have made me pass out.

One of the girls got up and decided to look outside from the kitchen window. That was when she saw something like a human standing between the flowers that were all grown close to the toilet. She called our attention and when we got to see for ourselves, the creature walked out as if it was doing a match past abd we all froze. Chills were sent down my spine for the first time I was having such an experience since I got the apartment.

Suddenly there was a knock at my door, my friend's began sweating in their pants. You can imagine sweating during a cold night, we were scared to the core. The knock came again repeatedly, I asked to know who it was but I got no response and my whole body went numb.

The bravest of us all finally decided to open the door and check out who it was. My door was the creaky type. Always Making noise whenever it was opened and that was a turn off for all of us. We held our hearts in our hands and said our last prayers one after another.

The door finally creaked open and the next thing we saw was a black cat thrown into the house just immediately there was a power outage. Oh heavens one of them peed, nobody could laugh because we were between the devil and the deep blue sea.

The cat's eye was so big and scary. The door was open and then somebody walked in. Its hands were super cold when it touched my feet, I screamed as if I was in pain, my friends saw it and they all scurried to one end of the room. The thing kept rubbing it's hands on us while the cat kept torturing us with it's cold and protruding eyes.

I almost cried my eyes out but then the lights came back and the person was no other but my silly best friend. She had told me she couldn't make it to my place that evening unknowing to me that she had a plan.

After everything, we could finally laugh about the girl that peed and laugh at how much of a scaredy cat we all are.

Nightime can be very scary and if we're not careful we could even see our own shadow as an apparition.

Estaba lloviendo a cántaros cuando mis amigos y yo nos encerramos en casa para ver una película. Ni siquiera nos dimos cuenta de que había caído la noche porque nos estábamos divirtiendo dentro. Yo era la anfitriona de una fiesta de pijamas con ellas, así que nos importaba menos el anochecer.

Sólo éramos chicas en la habitación y la diversión era de otro mundo. Hicimos nuestro propio desafío de karaoke en la casa y nos reímos con bromas tontas. No pasó mucho tiempo después de que cenáramos tarde algo extraño sucedió.

Hay un pequeño aseo construido en el exterior para algún tipo de visitantes y en su tejado se oía un ruido muy molesto. Sonaba como si algo se arrastrara por el tejado y cayera al suelo; no caía simplemente sin hacer ruido, sino que siempre caía con un fuerte golpe.

El sonido llegaba de repente y se detenía, lo peor de todo era que la casa era un apartamento individual, no tenía vecinos cercanos como para pensar que tal vez un vecino hiciera eso. Abrí lentamente las cortinas para ver que había en el techo pero no había nada a la vista. Todos nos quedamos helados cuando el ruido volvió a sonar, esta vez todos teníamos los ojos fijos en la azotea pero no pudimos encontrar nada rodando ni a nadie alrededor solo escuchamos el sonido.

Mis amigos y yo ya no podíamos comunicarnos en voz alta, teníamos que susurrar. Todos estaban asustados, incluido yo mismo. Me sentí muy asustada y en ese momento agradecí no estar sola en casa. Quién sabe, tal vez el miedo me habría hecho desmayar.

Una de las chicas se levantó y decidió mirar fuera desde la ventana de la cocina. Fue entonces cuando vio algo parecido a un humano parado entre las flores que crecían cerca del baño. Nos llamó la atención y cuando llegamos a ver por nosotros mismos, la criatura salió como si estuviera haciendo un partido pasado abd todos nos quedamos congelados. Un escalofrío recorrió mi columna vertebral, ya que era la primera vez que tenía una experiencia de este tipo desde que tengo el apartamento.

De repente llamaron a mi puerta, mis amigos empezaron a sudar en los pantalones. Ya te puedes imaginar el sudor en una noche fría, estábamos asustados hasta la médula. Volvieron a llamar repetidamente, pregunté para saber quién era pero no obtuve respuesta y todo mi cuerpo se entumeció.

El más valiente de todos nosotros finalmente decidió abrir la puerta y comprobar quién era. Mi puerta era de las que crujen. Siempre hacía ruido cada vez que se abría y eso nos desanimaba a todos. Nos tomamos el corazón en las manos y rezamos nuestras últimas oraciones una tras otra.

La puerta finalmente crujió al abrirse y lo siguiente que vimos fue un gato negro metido en la casa justo en el momento en que hubo un corte de luz. Oh, cielos, uno de ellos se orinó, nadie pudo reírse porque estábamos entre el diablo y el mar azul profundo.

El ojo del gato era muy grande y daba miedo. La puerta estaba abierta y entonces alguien entró. Sus manos estaban súper frías cuando tocó mis pies, grité como si me doliera, mis amigos lo vieron y todos se escabulleron a un extremo de la habitación. La cosa siguió frotando sus manos sobre nosotros mientras el gato seguía torturándonos con sus ojos fríos y saltones.

Estuve a punto de llorar, pero entonces volvieron las luces y la persona no era otra que mi tonta mejor amiga. Me había dicho que no podría llegar a mi casa esa noche sin saber que tenía un plan.

Después de todo, por fin pudimos reírnos de la chica que se meó y reírnos de lo miedosos que somos todos.

La noche puede dar mucho miedo y si no tenemos cuidado podríamos incluso ver nuestra propia sombra como una aparición.
